Top Player Incentives and Milestones to Know for Week 18
Incentives:
DeAndre Carter
Two catches this week for Carter will give him 45 receptions on the season and earn a $250,000 bonus. Last week, he caught two passes on three targets. Before that, he had just three catches over four games. It’s a low number to hit, but it’s far from a lock.
Gerald Everett
60 catches on the season is the number that the tight end is looking to hit. Everett needs five receptions this week to earn himself a $250,000 bonus. He’s caught five or more passes in seven of 15 of the games he’s played in this year. This week he faces the Broncos, who have been weak against opposing tight ends.
Tyler Higbee
A $500,000 bonus will come to Higbee this week if he gets just 13 receiving yards. With 587 receiving yards on the season, this incentive is for 600 yards. Higbee has the second-most receiving yards of his seven years in the NFL. He’s hit this number in 11 out of 16 games this year.
Zay Jones
Jones is having the best season of his six years in the NFL. With just two catches this week, he’ll hit 80 catches and will earn a $250,000 bonus. If he gets 98 receiving yards, he’ll earn an additional $500,000. 98 receiving yards would put him at 1,000 on the season. He’s already gone above his previous career-high in yards which was 652 back in 2018 with the Bills.
Christian Kirk
Kirk needs two more catches to earn a $500,000 incentive. 91 yards this week would give him 1,100 yards on the season and also earn him an additional $500,000. This is also the best season Kirk has had in his five seasons in the NFL. His receiving line is set at roughly 56.5 yards this week. If you’re into gambling, take the Over.
Za’Darius Smith
For a $750,000 bonus, Smith needs to get a sack this week. He’s got 10 total sacks on the year and needs 10.5 to hit this bonus. He also can earn $1,000,000 if he somehow would end up with 12.5 sacks.
Jamaal Williams
One of the easiest incentives that should be reached this week is for Williams. He needs 1,000 rushing yards on the season to secure a $250,000 bonus. While he’s sitting at 994 on the season, Williams is a lock to hit this incentive this week against the Packers.
Milestones:
Patrick Mahomes
Single-Season Passing Record
With 430 passing yards this week against the Raiders, Mahomes would pass the all-time single-season passing record. The record is currently held by Peyton Manning and is 5,477. The Chiefs faced the Raiders back in Week 5 and he threw for 296 yards. This time he’s got an indoor game and has plenty of motivation to play well.
The Chiefs are trying to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Furthermore, Mahomes is on track to be the NFL’s MVP. All of this in combination is a recipe for success and a massive game for Mahomes.
Justin Jefferson
Single-Season Receiving Record
The receiving record is currently 1,964 and held by Calvin Johnson. It’s a huge number, but Jefferson needs 194 yards to pass this record, and it’s certainly not unheard of for Jefferson to put up 200 yards. He had just one catch for 15 yards last week and will look to bounce back against a struggling Chicago defense. Finally, he had 154 yards earlier this year when the Vikings played the Bears.
