Waiver-Wire-Pickups-for-IDP-Fantasy-Football-Week-11

We’re bringing on some of the most notable IDP waiver wire pickups for fantasy football leagues in Week 11. And there could be NFL players who should or could be available at different format levels each week. This allows us to either start them in Week 11 or stash them on your bench for next time. Or simple enough, if we have the room or the expendables on our benches. Either way, we can get ahead and stack our depth deeper if at all possible for the fantasy football season long haul. Let’s get right into it.

Week 11 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups

Elandon Roberts (ILB) Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Week 10 @ Cleveland Browns – Strong
  • Wk 11 @ Cincinnati Bengals – Solid
  • Wk 12 vs. Arizona Cardinals – Strong

Since Cole Holcomb went on injured reserve recently with a season-ending knee injury. It’s not got any better. The Steelers are now losing Kwon Alexander to a Week 10 Achilles injury. And instantly the last remaining starter Elandon Roberts is a lock as every down-linebacker. The capable veteran has a history of being a solid full-time or part-time player in his career. This addition to the waiver wire would be of higher priority for most standard leagues. There are times when being productive by default counts. And at the very least Roberts will absorb a lot of combined tackles as base box score points. It should be like Cole Holcomb was doing before he went down as a solid LB1 option most weeks.

Reportedly staying “in house” for now. Deep depth guy Mark Robinson, a 2022 seventh-round pick is the main option for now as Kwon Alexander‘s backup plan. He saw 60% of the snaps when Alexander went down and recorded 3 combined tackles in the process. So we need to keep in mind, that a veteran like Mykal Walker or Tariq Carpenter could step in from the practice squad soon. In deeper formats the winner, which right now looks like Robinson. Overall, he could bring in lower LB2 to LB3 defensive value. Although for now do not plan on using him in Week 11 versus the Browns until we have proof of snaps and production.

Nicholas Morrow (ILB) Philadelphia Eagles
  • Week 10 @ Kansas City Chiefs – Solid
  • Wk 11 @ Buffalo Bills – Solid
  • Wk 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers – Solid

As the much anticipated Nakobe Dean (foot) breakout is on hold and headed to the I.R. again. Veteran Nicholas Morrow will resume more of a full-time role for the next few weeks or until Dean is ready to go. And playing off the last time Dean ended up on the injured reserves earlier this season. We’re not as excited about Morrow having as high a ceiling to go as far as saying LB1. Although a steady LB2 with upside is not out of the question. And really will boil down to how much production the other ILB Zach Cunningham will demand again.

In the first stint, from Week 2 to Week 5. Cunnungham and Morrow split the tackles fairly evenly. The problem was they also did it at opposite times and would leave the other well behind. Making it even but also within games and not one contest. So although there is an upside there is also the risk that by the time they level out, Dean could return once again. Making this a good but not great situation to invest in off the IDP waiver wire in Week 11.

Vonn Bell / Xavier Woods (SAF) Carolina Panthers

The Panthers’ original starting tandem at safety is finally healthy again. And right on time for one of the best safety matchups on paper versus the Dallas Cowboys. Vonn Bell and Xavier Woods now have one complete contest back together after one modest game in Week 10 in Chicago. Bell went on record four combined tackles and Xavier Woods had five. These are two outstanding veterans who have always lived up to the bar when the matchups are right. And Dallas has lingered in the top 10 all season long in allowing production to the safeties. That also comes with an increase to the least top five in most scoring formats in the last five weeks.

Vonn Bell (SAF) Carolina Panthers
  • Week 10 @ Kansas City Chiefs – Solid
  • Wk 11 @ Buffalo Bills – Solid
  • Wk 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers – Solid

Vonn Bell was the hot guy early on this season and likely the bigger DB name of the two. He has a lot of DB1 upside this contest and will perform well in most standard league formats. And with the Panthers banged up at inside linebacker and edge rushers. Bell should see plenty of extra opportunities this contest in the box as well as in coverage.

Xavier Woods (SAF) Carolina Panthers
  • Week 10 @ Kansas City Chiefs – Solid
  • Wk 11 @ Buffalo Bills – Solid *Upside*
  • Wk 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers – Solid *Upside*

Xavier Woods went down fairly early and isn’t as notable as name or likely on any rosters that aren’t deep. So he’ll be the next tiered DB between the two and likely a lot easier to get in a matchup that offers huge dividends. It’ll be after Week 11 that we’ll need to decide if we have strong options or not. The matchup on paper isn’t as strong versus the Titans and Buccanneers for the deep free safety. Whereas Bell will still remain solid playing in the box in those contests and helping stop the run.
