We break down the top waiver wire pickups for IDP fantasy football leagues heading into Week 5. These are players who should be available off the waiver wire and you can either start them in Week 5 or stash them on your bench.
Week 5 Fantasy Football’s NFL IDP Rolling Waiver Wire Targets debuted on Faceoff. Now only available via a weekly article delivering a fresh link to a free and covenant APP. There’s no download or sign-in required. So if you’re not familiar. Let’s only target defensive players with sold or stronger matchups. And not just because they caught our eye with a stellar performance prior at some point. As other waiver wire articles will actually suggest. Let’s get into the top IDP options to target this week on the waiver wire.

Waiver Wire Pickups for IDP Fantasy Leagues

Not only do we only suggest upside players with solid or better matchups. This is the original established in 2018 released for its first time from behind a paywall. And likely the only rolling waiver wire in the industry (at the moment). So what’s rolling? The IDP versus matchups for three weeks. Which separates the potential every week or solid bye-week IDP plays. As well as the capability to locate breakouts and sleepers. for the long haul.

Pass or fail, we make the players earn their way. Or we simply replenish the pools with more solid or better options. Our average mid-season normally hits around 22 players a week. And the current Week 5, being early is sitting on about 36 players. Publishing on Monday with updates. And/Or always finalized no later than Tuesday, after the NFL Monday night games.

Top IDP Waiver Wire Pickups (Week 5)

ILB – Terrel Bernard – BUF

WK4 – Passed – MIA
WK5 – Strong – JAC
WK6 – Solid – NYG

Buffalo’s Terrel Bernard has picked his game up on film as the stats continue to flourish. He might not be available everywhere after breaking out this year. Although where you can find him he’s a must-start versus the Jaguars. With his consistency, an above-par PFF grade (68.5), and a top 5 matchup versus opponent. This is a no-brainer, even over so far just solid LB1 plays by name.

OLB/DE – Jonathon Cooper – DEN

“Doubling Down With Denver”

WK3 – Passed @MIA
WK4 – Passed @CHI
WK5 – Strong -NYJ

OLB/DE – Nik Bonitto – DEN

WK4 – Passed @CHI
WK5 – Strong -NYJ
WK6 – Weak – @KAN

Both Jonathon Cooper and Nik Bonitto have allowed Bronco fans to forget all about Frank Clark and Randy Gregory. Both are what we would call complete breakouts, with no off-season fanfare. Or over-glowing offseason camp reports. So the odds are pretty decent after you check their consistency to see what you get. You’ll likely find them floating around in a lot of leagues. As well as carrying a top weekly average for your formats at their positions in your leagues.
