WWE Wrestlemania 40 Predictions & Full Night 2 Match Card

Following the greatest tag team match in wrestling history, WWE will look to put the pedal to metal again with night two of WrestleMania 2024.

While you can click here for my night one predictions, Cody Rhodes will be walking into the second night of the showcase of the Immortals as the undeniable underdog. For predictions on that march and more, continue to read on.

WWE Wrestlemania 40 Predictions

Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar)

To be completely honest, it is borderline insulting how little I care about this match. This particular feud has gone on for months and while it has been the biggest attention grabber, these teams will get to settle things on wrestling’s biggest stage.

The Philadelphia street fight rules do sound like something out of a house show. However, considering Paul Heyman being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, it would be smart for them to book this match as a tip of the cap to ECW.

If this match has anything going for it, it is the likelihood that tables will be involved. There aren’t a ton of matches with tables that fans dislike.
In terms of who wins this match, I can see Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits going over.

The last thing I will say on this match, by next year, WWE should take a bigger interest in the star that Montez Ford could be. It is time.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits

AJ Styles vs. LA Knight

It is safe to say that the return of The Rock has taken some of the wind out of LA Knight’s sails. Come to think of it, watching the promo work from Rock lately makes it amusing that Knight was compared to him in the first place.

Despite all of that, having a match against AJ Styles on the biggest show of the year is a big accomplishment for the self-proclaimed megastar.

The best thing going for this match is that there are so many bigger matches on the card that this one has the potential to be a match that surprises us all.

It has been well noted that AJ Styles could wrestle a broomstick and put on a great match and is looking bigger than he ever has. Knight is no slouch in the ring but I expect Styles to live up to his reputation and orchestrate one of the biggest pleasant surprises of night two.

Ultimately, Knight needs this match more than Styles does and I believe that is how they will book this match. Look for Knight to have what I believe to be an upset victory against Styles.

This match also screams rematch at Backlash but my hope is that following this feud, Styles can enter some programs that puts him back in the title picture. It is beyond deserved.

Prediction: LA Knight

United States Championship – Logan Paul(c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens

Mike: Randy Orton has delivered the RKO in so many memorable ways. Call this a prediction within a prediction but no matter who wins, Orton is going to land an RKO on Logan Paul that will be on highlight reels for years to come.

Perhaps after landing that RKO, Orton’s victory is spoiled by Kevin Owens breaking up the pin.

That could lead to what I believe to be an eventuality and that is Orton and Owens going after one another and maybe leading to a future program between the two veterans.

I ultimately believe Paul wins this match for two reasons. One of those reasons being that Owens and Orton feel like they are above the US title. The other reason is simply because Paul winning will drive a handful of fans mad.

The brass knuckles will make an appearance but they won’t be the reason for the pinfall. Look for Paul to get a cheap rollup pin while Orton and Owens are busy fighting.

For what it is worth, I do not think Paul hangs on to the title until SummerSlam which is in hometown of Ohio. That said, there is still some social media juice for WWE to squeeze out of Paul being a champion.

Prediction: Logan Paul

WWE Women’s Championship – Iyo Sky(c) vs. Bayley

Off the bat, this program for the biggest match of Bayley’s career has been underwhelming and that’s a shame.

Bayley has had two previous WrestleMania’s in which she walked in and out as the Women’s champion. Now the San Jose native will enter as the challenger and take on former Damage CTRL partner Iyo Sky.

As of this writing, Bayley is a woman on an island. All members of her former stable have turned their back on her. It will be interesting to see who shows up. One thing I’ve heard and I do not expect to happen is that the inflatable tube men will not be making an appearance in Philadelphia.

It is hard to imagine what WWE can gain by keeping the title on Iyo Sky. Her reign as champion has been as bland as any current title holder has had. Despite outside interference, look for the former hugger to squeeze out a victory against Iyo Sky. This clearly won’t be the end of the feud between Bayley and Damage CTRL.

Prediction: Bayley

World Heavyweight Championship – Seth Rollins(c) vs. Drew McIntyre

This match was never more interesting than when CM Punk was on RAW and included himself as a special guest commentator for their match. Building off of that electric segment and the bloodline lurking, there are so many ways in which this match can go.

Drew McIntyre will finally get that WrestleMania moment that he has been clamoring for. A heavyweight championship match in front of a sold-out stadium.

Unfortunately for the Scottish warrior, the match will not go as he had hoped. While it is hard to envision CM Punk getting too physical, I do see something occurring between McIntyre and Punk that will allow Seth Rollins to take advantage of his opponent and win the match.

That will not be the end of things though as the Bloodline will look to make their presence felt. Taking Rollins out of the equation will only further the advantage in the Bloodline rules between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

As Rollins is beginning to celebrate, look for him to be taken out by the Bloodline.

After a brutal beatdown, Damian Priest will finally be opportunistic and put that money in the bank briefcase. Look for the Judgement Day member to cash in and take the title off of the champion.

It is poetic, Rollins was the only one ever to cash in a briefcase at WrestleMania and now, the second person to do so will be doing it to him.

It probably isn’t the best booking decision to have Priest cash in but I can still see it happening.

Prediction: Seth Rollins – w/ a Damian Priest cash in!

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship – Roman Reigns(c) vs. Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes will continue his story as an underdog as he walks into night 2 of WrestleMania with Bloodline rules.

By the time night two of WrestleMania 40 arrives, Reigns will be 159 days away from surpassing Hulk Hogan for third all-time among the longest reigning WWE champions.

My feeling is that the people in power within WWE and TKO want Reigns to surpass Hogan. While the Rhodes supporters can make the claim that their favorite is just as big of a reason, business has been booming with Reigns as the champion.

Like most Reigns title matches, there will be outside interference, especially with Bloodline rules. There is also the rumor floating around that legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena could come to the aid of Rhodes during the match. There will be chaos, there will be confusion, and then there will be heartbreak (again) for Rhodes and his crybabies.

Rhodes didn’t lose steam after falling short last year and losing again will only make the fans get behind the ending of his story more. Reigns will be walking out of Philadelphia as the champion but not before some additional controversy. At the conclusion of the match or on the following night on RAW, the Rock will turn on Reigns and will reiterate what was said on the Jimmy Fallon show. There can only be one.

The other dynamic to look towards is Seth Rollins. After losing night one and night two of WrestleMania, the popular superstar would have suffered his worst professional weekend of his career.

That is enough to make any self-respecting superstar turn heel. It would also make sense for Rollins to turn on Cody as there are not enough heels consistently on WWE programming.

That is where the road to WrestleMania 41 will begin and Rhodes will continue to be the best champion to not hold the actual title.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
