2024 NFL Draft Team Preview: Georgia Bulldogs

2024 NFL Draft Team Preview: Georgia Bulldogs

Coming off of a dominating performance in the College Football National Championship game last season, the Georgia Bulldogs look to continue their success under a new quarterback and an experienced squad. Against the tough SEC, they’re considered the heavy favorites with their loaded talent on the defensive side of the ball.

After seeing several of their star players enter the NFL Draft, the Bulldogs are preparing for a new wave of prospects this season. While they’re known for producing top-tier NFL talent on the defensive side of the ball, they also have intriguing prospects on offense this year. Here are the prospects to keep an eye on for the 2024 NFL Draft.

5. #22 S Javon Bullard

Bullard is highly regarded for his versatility, football IQ, and tackling ability. He plays a crucial role in both pass and run defense, making him a key asset for the Bulldogs. Bullard’s strengths include his adaptability to various defensive roles, his intelligence in reading plays, his sure tackling, and his proficiency in coverage.
While he’s already a leader on the field, he can work on improving his speed, strength, and overall consistency in coverage. With further development, Bullard’s game has the potential to resemble NFL safeties like Antoine Bethea or Kareem Jackson. He’s a promising player to watch as he continues to contribute to one of the best teams in the country and will be one of the best safety prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft.

4. #63 iOL Sedrick Van Pran

Van Pran is a promising talent known for his size and agility, flashing a ton of potential as a cornerstone player in the trenches. His strengths come from his impressive agility for his imposing size and strength, a high football IQ, and a strong work ethic.
While he’s arguably the best center in the country, Van Pran could boost his NFL Draft ranking by refining his hand technique and maintaining a consistent pad level. While he returned to Georgia after an outstanding season last year, he has the likes of NFL players like David DeCastro or Brandon Scherff in his game. Overall, Van Pran has been a rising star for the past few years and has the potential to become a key player on an NFL offensive line.

3. #3 CB Kamari Lassiter

Lassiter has gained recognition for his outstanding coverage skills, versatility, and football IQ. He has the potential to become a top-tier cornerback because of his competitiveness, agility, and ability to excel in various coverage schemes. While his size and strength are not exceptional, he compensates with physicality and ball-tracking abilities.
Lassiter could benefit his NFL Draft stock by improving his tackling technique and consistency in the run game. With there’s still room for development, Lassiter’s play resembles NFL cornerbacks like Denzel Ward or Bryce Callahan. He is on the rise up the rankings and has significant potential as a future NFL prospect.

2. #65 OT Amarius Mims

Mims is a highly regarded prospect known for his imposing size, strength, and athleticism. He has the potential to become a dominant force on an NFL offensive line. His strengths include his massive size, agility, strength, hand placement, and effectiveness in both pass protection and run blocking.
However, he needs more refinement in his technique and hand quickness. As he continues his development, he has the likes of NFL offensive tackles like Trent Brown or Orlando Brown Jr. in his game. Across the board, Mims is a promising talent with immense potential and room for growth, making him a valuable asset in the 2024 NFL Draft.

1. #19 TE Brock Bowers

Since the beginning of his college career, Bowers has become a star. He stands out for his size, athleticism, and versatility. Bowers has great speed for a tight end, making him a vertical threat and a mismatch against linebackers. He boasts reliable hands and exceptional ball-tracking skills, excelling in any area of the field, especially in the red zone. His route-running is advanced and diverse, creating separation and making him a reliable target in any situation.

Bowers is also a valuable blocker, but he needs to be more consistent. Regarding his NFL potential, he resembles players like Travis Kelce and George Kittle with his athleticism, receiving skills, and blocking ability.
