Fantasy Football Outlook: Houston hasn’t been shy this offseason, making several moves on offense. The Texans traded Brandin Cooks to the Dallas Cowboys for a pair of Day 3 draft picks. Meanwhile, they signed Robert Woods, Noah Brown, and Dalton Schultz in free agency.

However, the addition of Singletary is puzzling. Last year the team hit a home run with Dameon Pierce. The fourth-round pick had a productive rookie season, totaling 220 rushing attempts for 939 yards and four touchdowns. Furthermore, he had 30 receptions on 39 targets for 165 receiving yards and a touchdown in the passing game.

Meanwhile, Singletary played well during his time with the Buffalo Bills. The veteran running back has averaged 9.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game in his career. Furthermore, the former Florida Atlantic star averaged 4.7 yards per rushing attempt since entering the NFL in 2019.

Ideally, fantasy players didn’t want the Texans to add any running back this offseason. However, Pierce should remind the No. 1 running back in Houston. Meanwhile, Singletary will rotate with the second-year player and provide depth. Fantasy players shouldn’t expect much from the former Bill unless Pierce misses time with an injury.
