Dynasty Fantasy Football Buys: Tight Ends

One of the toughest positions to predict in fantasy football is the tight end position. With a lack of elite options, trying to find a tight end who may help our teams can be a challenge. After the top five or so tight ends, it gets a bit ugly. With that in mind, here are some tight ends that I believe dynasty managers should look at. Let’s get right into this one with Dynasty Fantasy Football Buys: Tight Ends.

David Njoku

Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is a perfect example of a tight end who has shown plenty of promise but who has yet to break out. Njoku is a free agent this off-season and a move away from Cleveland could do wonders for his dynasty value. However, Njoku has stated that he wants to finish his career with the Browns. Njoku getting a new contract at Cleveland could see him take over as the number one tight end over Austin Hooper which could see his usage increase.

Managers could acquire Njoku rather cheaply, especially if trying to acquire him off of a team that has quality and depth at tight end. A mid to late second-round pick should get a deal done. It may also be worth checking the waiver wire to see if he is rostered as he is only rostered in 59% of leagues on Sleeper.

Cole Kmet

At just 22 years old, Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet is a player who I like a lot. The Bears moved on from former head coach Matt Nagy back in January, and there is optimism amongst dynasty players that this will help Bears player’s performances. Kmet is one of the players that managers are hoping benefits from a change in coach. The talent is there, the opportunity is there, it is just a case of waiting and seeing how new head coach Matt Eberflus utilizes Kmet. I would value Kmet as an early second, late first player for interested managers.

Dan Arnold

Dan Arnold is one of my favorite buy-low targets this off-season. The Jacksonville Jaguars player was becoming a popular target for quarterback Trevor Lawrence before suffering an MCL sprain back in November. With Urban Meyer gone, there is hope that the Jacksonville offense can take a step forward next season, and hopefully, Arnold can be a beneficiary of that. I would value Arnold as a third-round buy, as many managers will undervalue the 26-year-old.

Other tight ends to consider buying:  Irv Smith, Brevin Jordan, and Evan Engram.
