6’4 205 pounds – Full Combine Results
Looking back on his college history, Justyn Ross made a lot of folks excited as a freshman and a sophomore. In 2018, as a true freshman, he led Clemson in receiving with 1,000+ yards at a clip of 21.7 yards per catch. As a sophomore, he led his team with 66 receptions and was named an honorable mention to the All-ACC team.
In 2020, Ross missed the entire campaign after having surgery for a congenital spinal condition. The following season, he came back with 514 receiving yards on 46 catches in 10 games. Respectable numbers. He then opted out of Clemson’s bowl appearance to prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft.
Measuring in at 6’4 gives him an immediate advantage against opponents in all jump ball situations with his 32” arm length and soft hands adding to an impressive list of intangibles. His Combine numbers are nothing to write home about with below-average speed and burst scores. He will more than likely be a Day 3 NFL Draft selection.
Ross will need some seasoning at the pro level but if he finds his way into the right situation, he could provide value as soon as year two in the NFL. He’ll make for a fine target over the middle or in quick out throws along the sideline.
