FanDuel GPP Picks – Week 10

FanDuel-GPP-Picks-Week-10

The picks below are specifically for FanDuel large field tournaments, or GPPs. I try to mix in some different prices and ownership to allow you to build a competitive team each week. Feel free to give some feedback or ask any fantasy football questions you may have on Twitter.  If you’ve never tried FanDuel, join here and you’ll get a bonus with your first deposit. Let’s dig right in with my FanDuel GPP Picks for Week 10.

Quarterbacks

Justin Fields – $8,300

Over the last three weeks, Fields has scored 24.36, 26.04, and 42.72 FanDuel points and has turned around his season for fantasy owners. This week he’ll play one of the league’s worst defenses in the Detroit Lions. I think we can ignore last week’s game against the Packers since the Packers’ offense is a complete disaster and one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL this year. The Bears also are absent from any real rushing game besides Fields.

I think Fields’ run will continue and this appears to be low-hanging fruit if ever I’ve seen it. He’ll be a solid GPP play this week on FanDuel.

Jacoby Brissett – $7,000

Brissett and the Browns face the Dolphins this week and opened as underdogs at +4. While the Miami defense isn’t great against the run they are even worse at defending the pass. Cleveland should need to throw a bit to keep up with Miami and I could see Brissett having a similar game to last week with around 275 passing yards a passing touchdown and maybe 10-15 rushing yards. That type of game would put us where we need to be for a GPP play.

Running Backs

Saquon Barkley – $9,500

Barkley faces the Houston Texans who just allowed 5 YPC or more to all three of the Eagles’ running backs last week. On the season the Texans have allowed 25 or more fantasy points to opposing running backs in 5/8 weeks this year. Barkley has been involved on a weekly basis in the passing game but his real work is done on the ground and he should have no issue in Week 10.

Dameon Pierce – $7,700

Let’s just flip to the other sideline for one of our other running backs, rookie Dameon Pierce. Pierce has been a pleasant surprise for the Texans and facing the Giants he should continue his run toward rookie of the year. The Giants allow 5 YPC to opposing running backs and since the Texans have no other real weapons on offense they’ll need to once again lean on the rookie. Not so sure I’d use both in the same lineup but that’s just a preference thing for me.

Jamaal Williams – $7,400

It’s looking like Swift will play again but with Detroit playing in Chicago I wouldn’t be surprised if Williams had a significant number of carries. Chicago allows 4.9 YPC to opposing running backs, so even with a slightly reduced workload, Williams could still have a decent day. Remember Goff at home is different and they are playing Fields who’s been on fire so keeping him off the field will be key.

Wide Receivers

Amari Cooper – $7,800

Cooper and the Browns face the high-octane Miami Dolphins this week. We know Nick Chubb will be involved simply because he’s a very effective running back and damn near a lock to score every week. Jacoby Brissett had a solid game last week and I see similar numbers again this week. I think Cooper can get within his target scores since the Dolphin defense is ranked 21st to wide receivers allowing 36.40 points per game to the position this year.

Christian Kirk – $6,800

The Jaguars are facing off on the road against the Chiefs this week. Even though Etienne has been a top-10 running back over the last few weeks in order to keep pace they’ll need to pass the ball. Listen we’re not expecting a 400-yard and 4-touchdown day from Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars, but if he can get Kirk close to 100 yards and a touchdown we’ll be in business.

Jerry Jeudy – $6,400

Russell Wilson is definitely not the Chef he used to be but when he does connect it’s been with Jeudy. Tennessee is allowing 275 passing yards per game and has allowed 15 passing touchdowns this year. The Tennessee run defense is allowing only 87 yards per game and have given up 2 touchdowns all season so I don’t see the broncos having much success on the ground. Dulcich could be a nice option as well but we’ll see what the tight ends have in store.

Tight Ends

Tyler Higbee – $6,000

The Higbee play feels good regardless of if Matt Stafford or John Wolford starts at the quarterback position. We already know early in the season Stafford and a connection with Higbee and Wolford, a young inexperienced quarterback will need to check down more often than Stafford so I’m confident that Higbee will get his targets.

Greg Dulcich – $5,900

Since being the starter Dulcich has had games of 11.4, 8.1, and 10.7 which consisted of 3,9, and 5 targets respectively. I think the Denver passing game, while stale most of the season, is in a great position. I listed Jeudy above so if you need another stack option, Wilson with these two could do well against the Tennessee Titans. As an off-the-wall runback, Derrick Henry can be used in this stack as well.

DSTs

New Orleans Saints – $3,900

I prefer a home team’s defense but in this case, with the Saints playing the Steelers I’ll make an exception. The Steelers’ offense has scored the fewest touchdowns and has a rookie quarterback in Kenny Pickett who has been struggling. The Steelers are also projected to be trailing which could lead to that pick six we so desire from our defense. A reasonable price of $3,900 is helpful as well.

GPP Stacks

Cleveland Browns @ Miami Dolphins

I touched upon Brissett and Cooper above but if you’re looking to further stack the Browns you could go with either Chubb, and be a little contrarian, or Donovan Peoples-Jones. The Browns need to put up points so as not to be blown out so adding Chubb as the third leg of the stack covers both the rushing and passing game. Feel free to switch Cooper for Peoples-Jones for a lower-owned stack too.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs

If I’m stacking the Jaguars I’ll be stacking much the same as I did with the Browns, by pairing the running back with the quarterback and wide receiver. The difference is I’m more confident in the Lawrence/Etienne/Kirk stack. If you decide to use a run back look at either Smith-Schuster or Hardman then hope for fireworks.
