FanDuel GPP Picks – Week 15

FanDuel-GPP-Picks-Week-15

The picks below are specifically for FanDuel large field tournaments. I try to mix in some different prices and ownership to allow you to build a competitive team each week. Feel free to give some feedback or ask any fantasy football questions you may have on Twitter @BigEZDFS. If you would like more information about my in-depth NFL DFS content, The Sheets, or you are interested please DM me on Twitter.

Here are some players to target in DFS this week in FanDuel GPP Picks – Week 15.

Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts – $9,000 – Ownership Proj. 4%

Hurts is widely considered to be the front-runner for the MVP award this year. This week he faces a Chicago defense that does a decent job at stopping receivers and a not-so-decent job at stopping the running game. Furthermore, the bonus with Hurts is that we know he can get us close to the points we need with his rushing ability alone.

Justin Herbert – $8,300 – Ownership Proj. 10%

I normally try to suggest players at different price points but in this case, I’m sticking with two quarterbacks at a similar price point. Herbert seems like he’s getting back to last year’s form and his receivers are getting healthy too. This week he faces the Tennessee pass funnel defense that just allowed Trevor Lawrence to pass for 368 yards and three touchdowns.

Running Backs

Miles Sanders – $7,800 – Ownership Proj. 15%

After suggesting two top-tier priced quarterbacks I’ll start with a mid-tier-priced running back in Sanders. Sanders was in my player pool last week and he didn’t disappoint. This week he gets another favorable matchup against the Bears. The Bears rushing defense is allowing 4.7 YPC and 21 rushing touchdowns on the season. I also think that the Eagles could favor the rushing game since the Bears aren’t nearly as bad at defending the pass.

Isiah Pacheco – $7,600 – Ownership Proj. 10%

Pacheco was in a great spot last week but unfortunately, it didn’t translate into fantasy points as fellow running back Jerick McKinnon ended with 28.9 FanDuel points. This week Pacheco is again in a good position but this week we’re hoping he can grab a touchdown (two if we get lucky) and the majority of the Chiefs rushing offense.

Travis Etienne – $7,000 – Ownership Proj. 8%

Etienne has had a rough stretch over the last four weeks but I don’t think that means he’s a bad running back. He faces a Dallas Cowboys defense that is ranked first in passing DVOA. Vegas opened this game giving five points to the Jaguars which I think is a little off especially since they’re playing at home. I look for the Jaguars to lean a bit more on Etienne and for him to get back to his form before the rough patch.

Wide Receivers

CeeDee Lamb – $8,100 – Ownership Proj. 18%

The Cowboys are up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week. While the Jaguars have certainly improved on offense, their defense on the other hand hasn’t had the same result. The Jaguars are allowing over 250 passing yards per game and have allowed 21 receiving touchdowns thus far. I’m looking for Lamb to bounce back this week from a less-than-impressive game last week.

George Pickens- $6,100 – Ownership Proj. 4%

Pickens expressed displeasure a couple of weeks ago so I expect the Steelers to start getting him a bit more involved. Last week he only had three targets but he did catch all three for 78 receiving yards. The Carolina Panthers are ranked 19th in passing defense DVOA and could very well be just what Pickens needs to get right. Keep an eye on the injury reports, if Kenny Pickett is out we may have a replacement pick for Pickens for you on Twitter.

Elijah Moore- $5,600 – Ownership Proj. 4%

We have watched the Lions defense continue to have issues stopping the opposing team’s slot receiver. Moore began running from the slot and seems to have had better success thus far. Most of the ownership will be on Garrett Wilson on the Jets side but we can get Moore for decent savings and still get exposure to this game.

Tight Ends

Greg Dulcich – $5,600 – Ownership Proj. 14%

Dulcich fits the weekly narrative of “Play whichever tight end that faces the Cardinals”. Arizona has allowed over 12 points a game to just the opposing team’s primary tight end. They have allowed a tight end to score a minimum of 10 points seven times already putting them as the worst defense when looking at D-PAC rankings.

Foster Moreau – $5,100 – Ownership Proj. 9%

There are a couple of things that have me on Moreau this week. The first is the Patriots are in the lower third of the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. The second is that Bill Bellichick is known for focusing on the opposing team’s primary weapon. While I don’t think he can completely stop both Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams I also don’t think we know which will be the focus of the Patriots’ defense.

So with that being said, I’ll shift to Moreau to save us some salary and hopefully end with a line similar to 6-60-1 which is close enough to our GPP target score range. You could also use the opposing tight end in Hunter Henry as the Raiders have allowed an average of 13 fantasy points to tight ends putting them as the third worst in D-PAC

DSTs

New York Jets – $4,100

After multiple weeks of me suggesting Lions players, this week I flip to the defense playing the Lions. Jared Goff is a different quarterback on the road than he is at home. This Jets defense has proven itself every week and I feel comfortable locking them in.

GPP Team Stacks

Dallas Cowboys @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Last week the Cowboys almost lost to the Houston Texans. I think they bounce back and Dak Prescott gets back on the same page as his receiving group. I’ll be stacking Prescott with combinations of CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and Dalton Schultz. I also think the Jaguars can keep the game close so we may get lucky and get a legit shootout.

If you are using a runback (player from the opposing team) I would go with Zay Jones. The Cowboys have typically had a harder time with the outside receivers. Finally, they aren’t great against opposing slot receivers either, so Christian Kirk wouldn’t be a bad option either.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Carolina Panthers

Every once and a while I suggest something that makes me ask myself “What the hell are you thinking?”. Well, here we are. This is strictly a value stack with a few options as runbacks who are considered a value as well. Sam Darnold stacked with DJ Moore.

You can run back with any one of the three following players: Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, or Pickens. All three have the possibility of hitting their GPP target score range (see ‘The Sheets’ for this if you’re a subscriber). I would not use more than one run-back option as the Vegas data projects the Steelers to score just 18.25 points.

As always, be sure to watch the injury reports leading up to each kickoff and follow me on Twitter @BigEZDFS for possible changes, added picks, or additional DFS content.
