Exploring the choices made by Prospects Foregoing the 2024 NFL Draft and opting to Return to School. Delve into their career decisions and their impact on college football.
With the NFL Draft process in full swing, prospects are beginning to make their decisions to enter the 2024 Draft or return to school for another season. With the deadline for underclassmen to announce their intentions fast approaching, we should hear what several top-tier prospects intend to do. Here is a list of players who have already announced their decision to return to school for another year and forego the 2024 NFL Draft.
As expected, there will be plenty of talented players who end up returning to school and foregoing the 2024 NFL Draft. However, top quarterbacks such as Caleb Williams and Drake Maye should end up declaring sooner rather than later. Additionally, some top wide receivers such as Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze are all expected to declare for this year’s draft as well.
However, there always end up being some surprise players who return to school for another year. With that, it’s important to stay up to date on who has and has not declared. In the long run, your dynasty and Devy fantasy football teams will thank you for getting to know all of these players ahead of time.
This list will be updated as the underclassman deadline approaches on January 15th.

2024 Prospects Returning to CFB in 2024
While it’s exciting to see favorite prospects enter the NFL Draft, plenty of talented players will be returning to school and forgoing the 2024 NFL Draft. Several talented quarterbacks have already made their decision, one being Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who’s had a phenomenal season stepping in for now Los Angeles Ram Stetson Bennett.
There has been a list of quarterbacks who graded in the middle rounds of the draft who have chosen to return. Jaxon Dart from Ole Miss was a prospect making some noise this season, totaling 2985 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Two big-name quarterbacks are waiting to make their decisions. The first being Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado quarterback and son of the legendary Deion “Primetime” Sanders. Shedeur had an outstanding season but dealt with protection issues from his offensive line and injuries to his offensive weapons.
The other one is Quinn Ewers, who dealt with injuries himself this year but led Texas to a College Football Playoff birth. He’s been regarded as a first-round prospect after a phenomenal season, and we’ll likely get clarification on both of these prospects once we get closer to the deadline.
