I can’t remember the last time there has been so much parity in the NFL Take last year, even with Tom Brady still in the league, we saw a team like the Cincinnati Bengals come out of nowhere and nearly win the Super Bowl 56.

As of now, Brady is retired. So are Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees. There has been turnover at the most important position in sports, which also creates variance in odds and winners.

The next most tenured quarterback to win a Super Bowl in recent history is Patrick Mahomes. I could say Aaron Rodgers, but he hasn’t won anything since 2010.

While the Chiefs have their holes, they have Mahomes, Andy Reid, and their top offensive assets returning. Kansas City’s defense needs some work, but we also say this every year and the Chiefs are still one of the top four teams remaining on Championship weekend perennially.

Well, the Jags made the right moves thus far in the early portion of the offseason. Importantly, by employing Doug Pederson as their new head coach. Not only is Pederson the best possible hire to get Lawrence’s career on track, but he is also four years removed from winning a Super Bowl as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2018.

If Lawrence is indeed a generational truth and Pederson can get some of his Philly magic back, we could see a Bengals-like turnaround in 2023.
