Waiver Wire Pickups for IDP Fantasy Football – Week 10
We’re bringing on some of the most notable IDP waiver wire pickups for fantasy football leagues in Week 10. And there could be NFL players who should or could be available at different format levels each week. This allows us to either start them in Week 10 or stash them on your bench for next time. Or simple enough, if we have the room or the expendables on our benches. Either way, we can get ahead and stack our depth deeper if at all possible for the fantasy football season long haul. Let’s get right into it.
Waiver Wire Pickups
SAF – Juan Thornhill – CLE
WK10 – Solid @ BAL
WK11 – Solid – PIT
WK12 – OK @ DEN
Likely free in many levels of formats. The Browns’ Juan Thornhill has a breath safety matchup versus the Ravens in Week 10. Baltimore has been quite friendly over the last few weeks along with a solid upside. Relinquishing DB1 type number all of the last 5 weeks but one. All while maintaining a top-12 ranking all season when it comes to opposing safety production.
In Week 4 these two fierce divisional rivals went head to head. And Thornhill recorded four solos and three assists in what was a very IDP-producing contest. So with both team’s passing offenses currently clicking there’s no reason that in leagues where you need him. Juan Thornhill should secure about the same higher-end DB2 stats as he did in Week 4. And we’re going to project that he’ll top the seven combined from last time. Noting it’s they are playing in Baltimore this time around.
ILB – Germaine Pratt – CIN
WK10 – Strong – HOU
WK11 – Strong @ BAL
WK12 – Solid – PIT
If there’s a player on this list we’d consider a Week 10 tier one waiver wire option, it’s the Bengal’s, Germaine Pratt. Squaring off with a full complement of snaps against the Texans who aren’t struggling like before. And have offered more than plenty of production to all opposing ILB this past month. Allowing somewhere in the vicinity of 40 combined tackles. And gave up multiple big splash plays padding almost every single starting ILB in the last five weeks.
OLB/DE – Boye Mafe – SEA
WK9 – Passed @ BAL
WK10 – Solid – WAS
WK11 – Solid @ LAR
Seattle’s Boye Mafe (Elite like 81.5 PFF grade) has really had a bit of luck recently and has a huge chance he’s living up to like a champ. And a big part of that was receiving a bigger portion of the edge rusher’s rotation. That was after Uchenna Nwosu went down in Week 8. Although, Mafe was stringing a couple of solid contests prior to that. And now they’ve added Pro Bowler DT Leonard Williams via a trade. This improves the defense, and the play inside, and will help an already improving front five.
Facing the Washington Commanders is kind of a no-brainer this week. Allowing on average top 10 production off the edge for the season. Although recently they did stifle the Eagles and Patriots edge rushers for the most part. But traveling across the country to Seattle and an improved pool of defensive talent. We’ll go out a limb here to say that Boye Mafe has one heck of a chance to record his seventh game in a row with a sack. And at the very least will be solid with 4 to 5 combined tackles with some kind of splash play at the line.
Retread – Justin Madubuike – BAL
WK10 – Strong – CLE
WK11 – Solid – CIN
WK12 – Solids @ LAC
Don’t be fulled, this is more of a DT designated playing deeper formats. On the other hand. The Ravens’ DT Justin Madubuike has overachieved despite any matchup on paper. Also offered solid overall DL2 play most weeks which also included a few sacks. We won’t go as far as to say he’ll record his eighth one this contest.
Although playing at home versus the Browns. We are predicting that’s one heck of a chance alone or more like 4 combined and one tackle for a loss. This tough divisional contest produced across the board the first time they met in Week Four. Including one sack, tackle for loss, one solo, and one assist by Madubuike in Cleveland.
