Fantasy Football Rankings – Start Of The Week

Josh Dobbs @ Denver Broncos

The rule for my start of the week is to go beyond the obvious and pick a quarterback outside the top 12 FantasyPros consensus rankings. Facing off against the Denver Broncos, Josh Dobbs is my start of the week.

Now, for the most part, I don’t like putting players on my start-of-the-week list back to back. However, Josh Dobbs is the only quarterback besides Justin Fields eligible this week. Dobbs just had his highest-scoring game of the season with 25.1 points, and I don’t expect him to slow down anytime soon.

In fact, since coming to the Vikings, Dobbs has improved from a fantasy lens every single week. Dobbs arrived in Week 8, scoring 22.9, 24.9, and 25.1 PPG until Week 10. Overall, the rushing upside and incredible situation make Dobbs a must-start every week for fantasy football.

Denver has been great against quarterbacks this year, but unfortunately, this game script looks great for Dobbs. It should be a competitive game, which is fantastic, but the Vikings are still 2.5-point underdogs. Personally, I believe this will result in more plays ran, as well as more pass attempts than normal for Dobbs.

It would be great to talk about someone else but, I have to give a PSA to start Dobbs. Please forget about the name and his past and view Dobbs as a low-end QB1 for the rest of the season. Not only is Dobbs second in the NFL for rushing yards among quarterbacks but he’s proven himself over and over in fantasy football.
