Week 13 — Top 12 QB/TE Fantasy Football Rankings and Tiers

Week-13-Top-12-QB-TE-Fantasy-Football-Rankings-and-Tiers

Week 13 is officially here! Using matchup information, sportsbook data, player and statistical analysis, I’ve constructed my top 12 quarterbacks/tight ends for this week. With that said, let’s dive into my top 13 QB/TE fantasy football rankings and tiers, along with my must-start at each position. Let’s get right into it.

12. Jordan Love vs. KC

Quarterback – Start Of The Week

Jordan Love vs. KC

The rule for my start of the week is to go beyond the obvious and pick a quarterback outside the top 12 FantasyPros consensus rankings. Facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs, Jordan Love is my start of the week.

Jordan Love may not be a great life quarterback yet, but he’s been phenomenal in fantasy these past two weeks. Fantasy owners should feel good about Love after a 20.9-point game in week 11 and a 26.6-point performance in week 12.

It’s worth mentioning, however, that we saw a sharp decline in production for Love during the middle of the season. There’s no rhyme or reason, but Love doesn’t seem like a quarterback you can depend on for the rest of the season.

That said, Love has a great game script this week, as the Packers are six-point underdogs. The Packers will be trailing almost the whole game, which means that Love will be forced to throw the ball even more than usual. However, the Chiefs have allowed the 6th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this year (13.96 PPG.) Love isn’t a smash start by any means, but he should finish as a low-end QB1 due to his game script.

Week 13 – Tight End Rankings

Not applicable: Jake Ferguson, Noah Fant

Tier 1

1. Travis Kelce @ GB

Tier 2

2. George Kittle @ PHI

3. Sam LaPorta @ NO

Tier 3

4. Trey McBride @ PIT

5. Evan Engram vs. CIN

Tier 4

6. Pat Freiermuth vs. ARI

7. David Njoku @ LAR

8. Taysom Hill vs. DET

Tier 5

9. Logan Thomas vs. MIA

10. Cade Otton vs. CAR

11. Kyle Pitts @ NYJ

12. Tyler Higbee vs. CLE

Tight End – Start Of The Week

Kyle Pitts @  NYJ

The rule for my start of the week is to go beyond the obvious and pick a quarterback outside the top 12 FantasyPros consensus rankings. Facing off against the New York Jets, Kyle Pitts is my start of the week.

Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, Kyle Pitts is somehow my start of the week. Before we start, let me defend myself; it was between Pitts and Tyler Higbee. Considering the Browns have allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends, Pitts had to be the pick.

Pitts is actually averaging 7.9 PPG on the year, but his last few games have been brutal. That said, before week 12, Pitts had five or more targets for six games in a row, which is a promising sign. At the end of the day, I’m banking on Pitts to let his talent shine through and take advantage of these targets.

Right now, the Falcons are two-point favorites against the Jets, which indicates a close game. Considering how bad the Jets offense is, the Falcons should have the ball for a long time in this game. It’s also worth noting that the Jets have allowed the 16th most fantasy points to tight ends (11.6 PPG). I’m putting my lottery ticket on Pitts this week in an extremely barren, tight-end landscape.
