Fantasy Football – Start Of The Week

Michael Pittman Jr. @ HOU

For my start of the week, I’m going with Michael Pittman Jr., who has a consensus week two rank of WR31 according to FantasyPros. Even though Pittman finished as the WR8 with 23.7 points in Week 1, he’s not getting the respect he deserves.

The former 34th overall pick is a highly talented player who should be viewed as a WR2 going forward. In Week 1, Pittman proved he’s the alpha WR1 for Anthony Richardson, commanding the most targets on the team with 11. With those 11 targets, Pittman finished the game with an 8-97-1 stat line.

Heading into Week 2, I like Pittman even more. Richardson left early in Week 1, but all the reports from the Colts camp indicate that he’ll play in Week 2. This is crucial because Richardson had a good game and showed he’s a serviceable passer who can move the offense.

This week, the Colts have a fantastic matchup against the Texans. According to Odds Shark, the Colts are +1, which means this should be a close game. After an excellent week one performance, I expect Pittman to continue to show out against a weak Texans defense.
