The weeks just keep dwindling down as we currently sit with only three regular season slates to go. Last week was another solid week of picks despite a couple of misses. However, we’re certainly going to finish the season strong. It’s time to jump right into a quick recap of last week’s followed by my favorite studs and values with DraftKings DFS Cash Game Picks for Week 16.

Week 15 DraftKings DFS Cash Game Picks – Recap

Smash

Kyren Williams was the RB3 finishing with 29.50 fantasy points.

Jayden Reed was a great value finishing with 17.20 fantasy points.

The Chicago Bears defense had a pick six en route 17 points finishing as the second-best defense.

Duds

D’Onta Foreman couldn’t get anything going on the ground finishing with -0.60 fantasy points.

Brandon Aiyuk had his worst game of the season catching only three passes and finishing with 6.7 fantasy points.

Josh Allen took a backseat to James Cook’s absurd day and only scored a mediocre 16.16 fantasy points.

DraftKings DFS Cash Game Picks for Week 16

Quarterbacks

Trevor Lawrence ($6,600)

First off, this pick will come down to the health of Lawrence. With him in concussion protocol, he’s going to need to pass numerous steps to be able to play Sunday. However, if he does play, Lawrence is in a smash spot. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite being in first place in the NFC South, are one of the worst pass defenses in the league. They have allowed the second most passing yards on the season giving up 282 per game.

Furthermore, they are one of the top five worst defenses in terms of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Look for Lawrence to have a big game in a much-needed spot for the struggling Jaguars.

Nick Mullens ($5,300)

This week with many games being on Saturday and Monday it’s kind of a light slate. That doesn’t leave us very many options at the quarterback position. However, Mullens is very cheap and at least has a great offense around him. Last week, he was able to throw for over 300 yards in his first start of the season.

This week Mullens could have even more of an opportunity to throw the ball with the matchup against the Detroit Lions. The Lions will likely be playing with the lead forcing them to come from behind. If that’s the case then Mullens should be able to provide us with good value and be well worth his salary.

Running Backs

De’Von Achane ($7,100)

The rookie running back took the league by storm having monster games in his first three outings. Achane then got hurt and he hasn’t had the same explosive output that he did early in the season. However, this week, he gets a matchup against the Cowboys who just got bullied on the ground by James Cook.

Overall, the Cowboys have been very solid against running backs on the season. However, when they do get beat it’s when the defense is playing on the road. With the game being in Miami look for Achane to have one of his explosive performances.

Roschon Johnson ($4,800)

The Chicago Bears are not officially eliminated from the playoffs but they might as well be with everything they would need to happen. Therefore, it’s time for them to shift their focus to 2024. They need to see what Johnson can do with more snaps to see if he could be the guy next season. This is a very good matchup for Johnson if that is the case.

Furthermore, the Arizona Cardinals have been the worst team in the NFL in terms of fantasy points allowed to running backs. They have allowed a total of 21 touchdowns and 4.6 YPC to running backs on the season. Johnson has been knocking on the door of a breakout game so don’t be surprised if this is the week he puts it all together.

Wide Receivers

Justin Jefferson ($8,100)

Jefferson made his return from the IR two weeks ago only to get banged up again in the same game. However, he returned last week to full health and he was able to put together a solid outing. The good news is with Mullens at quarterback Jefferson was targeted 10 times in that game last week. This week Jefferson will face a familiar foe. In Jefferson’s six career games against the Lions, he has put up a total of 740 receiving yards. The Lions’ secondary has not improved much this season so there’s no reason why Jefferson won’t put up another triple-digit receiving day.

Parker Washington ($3,800)

The Jaguars receiving core is on life support at this point in the season. Washington was not expected to be a big contributor to the offense this year after getting drafted on day 3 out of Penn State. However, in his last three games, he’s been able to contribute a solid 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. This week, he’s facing the Buccaneers who have been absolutely awful against wide receivers, especially slot receivers. Washington is going to need to step up for the Jaguars in a pivotal matchup.

Tight Ends

Jake Ferguson ($4,900)

Ferguson has been a very solid replacement for Dalton Schultz this season. He is a reliable option for Dak Prescott and that could be huge this weekend. The Cowboys need to bounce back after an abysmal showing against the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. This week, they face the Miami Dolphins in a potential shootout. The over/under is currently set at 51.5 so expect some points to be scored by both teams.

Furthermore, the Dolphins have been middle of the pack against tight ends this season. It’s not the best matchup but with a lot of the focus on CeeDee Lamb, that should open the door for Ferguson to have a solid game.

Tommy Tremble ($2,600)

This is one of those picks where you are punting the tight end position and just hoping for a touchdown. Although, Tremble is coming off his best game of the season yardage-wise with 32. However, last week, Tremble only ran 18 routes so the margin for error on this pick is pretty slim. The good news is the Green Bay Packers defense is tied for the sixth most receiving touchdowns surrendered to tight ends this season with six. Hopefully, Tremble can find the end zone and provide some great value on this slate.

Defense / Special Teams

Chicago Bears DST ($2,800)

Why not just keep rolling with the Bears defense? They have scored at least 14 points in their last three games. Furthermore, they have 12 interceptions in just the last four games. This week they face an Arizona Cardinals team whose offense is not very good. The Cardinals have allowed 38 sacks on the season and Kyler Murray has thrown four interceptions in just five games. There’s no reason to believe the Bears can’t get to double-digit fantasy points again this week.
