Free DraftKings DFS Picks and Bargains – Week 4 (2023)

Free-DraftKings-DFS-Picks-and-Bargains-Week-4-2023

Welcome to Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season. This series covers the top DraftKings value picks and bargains on the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) slate for Week 4.

Week 3 was great for us beginning with rookie CJ Stroud throwing for 280 passing yards and two touchdowns. Javonte Williams and the Denver Broncos couldn’t put up a fight against the Miami Dolphins. Additionally, Jayden Reed earned 63 receiving yards on three receptions. Lastly, Sam LaPorta had a rookie breakout game earning a stat line of 8-84-1. Time to dig into Week 4 to see what the value brings to the table!

Quarterback – CJ Stroud, $5,600, Houston Texans

I hate being that guy who is playing the same value quarterback two weeks in a row. The saying goes rinse and repeat though! The DraftKings price tag only went $300 and I don’t think that is enough increase. Stroud is coming off his first win and was able to obtain 280 passing yards. Additionally, the matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers may seem worrisome. However, despite Jimmy Garoppolo throwing 3 interceptions last week, he was able to throw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.

The weapons that surround Stroud have certainly bloomed. Tank Dell, the rookie out of Houston drafted in the third round, had an amazing game last week with a stat line of 5-145-1. Nico Collins has always been a consistent option for Stroud as well. This might be the breakout game for Stroud! All in all, the weapons are clicking for Stroud in this offense!

Honorable Mentions: Matthew Stafford and Sam Howell

Running Back – Zack Moss, $6,000, Indianapolis Colts

The value is gross at this position and we have news regarding injuries that are crucial to this slate. I hate picking someone in the middle of the range on DraftKings but Zack Moss is the optimal play to me here. In Week 1, Moss was injured and he didn’t play. In Week 2 and Week 3, he took advantage of his playing opportunity with Jonathan Taylor being out. The stat lines have spoken for themselves especially last week rushing 30 times for 188 rushing yards against the Baltimore Ravens.

In regards to the workload Moss has earned, the backfield is all his with Deon Jackson getting released from the team. We just saw Joe Mixon ramp up a stat line of 19-65-1 against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. On a short week, the defense will need to be ready for Moss. You can’t count out the receiving upside Moss can eclipse with last week having a stat line of 3-23-1. On the ground or in the air, Moss can pay dividends for you.
Honorable Mentions: Kyren Williams and Alvin Kamara

Wide Receiver – Tank Dell, $4,600, Houston Texans

I have written up the Houston Texans the past couple of weeks starting this article but the team is a daily fantasy darling. Tank Dell had his breakout game last week with a stat line of 5-145-1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Davante Adams had a wild night against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a stat line of 13-172-2.  Dell has earned 21 targets from Stroud this season so far.

We have the Los Angeles Chargers receivers that are cheap on this DraftKings slate without Mike Williams playing which I certainly wanted to write about. The reason why I like Dell slightly more is because ownership will be all over the Los Angeles Chargers receivers as value. Another reason why I like Dell is because of the stack you can build between the combo of Stroud and Dell. The stack in itself only spends $10,200 in your DraftKings lineup.

Honorable Mentions: Joshua Palmer and Adam Thielen

Tight End – Donald Parham Jr- $2,800, Los Angeles Chargers

If you are spending down at the tight end position then it going to be disgusting. There is one player that stood out, especially with the starter questionable. Gerald Everett is dealing with an illness and even if Everett does play, I still like the value price tag on DraftKings for Donald Parham Jr. Last week, Parham had 34 offensive snaps while Everett had 38 offensive snaps. Overall, the snap count has been super close between the two tight ends.

The matchup is enticing for Parham where we saw Pat Freiermuth last week score against the Las Vegas Raiders in the red zone. In the red zone, Parham has been a consistent target machine for Justin Herbert. Both of the targets Parham had were in the red zone and were touchdowns. The gamble I am taking is that Herbert will drive down the field and find Parham in the red zone for another two touchdowns this week to pay off the DraftKings price tag!

Honorable Mentions: Cole Kmet and Hayden Hurst
