Welcome to Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season. This series covers the top DraftKings value picks and bargains on the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) slate for Week 8.

To recap Week 7, Sam Howell had a great matchup but only sustained 10.46 DraftKings points. Zach Evans was a huge mistake on my end after he was placed in the doghouse. WanDale Robinson had a decent showing with his target share. Luke Musgrave continues to leave games with injuries. It’s time to smash Week 8 with our value plays!

Quarterback – Jordan Love, $5,700, Green Bay Packers

I have put my trust in Jordan Love many times this season but this is where he can capitalize. The interceptions have been the issue for Love which has crumbled the offense. Green Bay Packers are facing the Minnesota Vikings. In our Fantasy Football Consistency Tool, the Minnesota Vikings are top 15 in fantasy points allowed for quarterbacks at 17.9 DraftKings points.

This is a huge get-right spot for Love. I am banking on a huge connection with Christian Watson in this matchup which can pay dividends for you on DraftKings. It may be scary to play Love this week and he has let us down before, but there are holes in the defense he can exploit.

Honorable Mentions: Sam Howell and Gardner Minshew

Running Back – Dameon Pierce, $5,300, Houston Texans

This season for Dameon Pierce has been very strange with his production. In terms of rushing attempts, they have certainly gone super up and down. Last week, Devin Singletary was running laps around Pierce on the ground. This is a huge spot for Pierce to prove his worth and why this backfield is his.

In terms of this matchup against the Carolina Panthers defense against the run is something to talk about. Last week, Raheem Mostert had a stat line of 17-115-2. You can compare Pierce and Mostert all day long but the matchup is heavily in favor of Pierce to bulldoze in the end zone. In our Fantasy Football Player Tool Analysis, you can see that Pierce is leading the backfield in playing 36.7% of the team’s snaps.

Honorable Mentions: Kareem Hunt and Miles Sanders

Wide Receiver – Tank Dell, $4,900, Houston Texans

I like the price tags on a lot of these Houston Texans players in their matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Robert Woods is more than likely not playing in this matchup which can open up playing time for other receivers. The receiver that will see a boost up is Tank Dell in terms of his snap count.

Dell was out last game but he is cleared from concussion protocol. The snap count is hovering for the rookie but he shows up when the time comes for him to see playing time. The upside is there for Dell and he has shown in the past that he has huge play-making ability.

Honorable Mentions: Treylon Burks and Michael Gallup

Tight End – Trey McBride, $2,800, Arizona Cardinals

The time is now for Trey McBride to show his worth and prove to the Arizona Cardinals his talent. Zach Ertz is now on the IR and McBride is now the starting tight end. The matchup is not the greatest for him but the price tag is more than viable to plug him in.

To take a peek into the targets the past couple of weeks, they have increased due to his increasing playing time. McBride has shown his target share rising and the ability to catch the ball has been on fire. Joshua Dobbs trusts him all over the field and he can open up a lot of studs in your DraftKings lineups.
