Free-DraftKings-DFS-Picks-and-Bargains-Week-9-2023

Welcome to Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season. This series covers the top DraftKings DFS picks and bargains on the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) slate for Week 9.

To recap Week 8, CJ Stroud had a rushing touchdown but only sustained 12.90 DraftKings points. Despite Stroud obtaining a rushing touchdown, Dameon Pierce had a lackluster game on the ground. Tank Dell had 3 receptions for 16 receiving yards. Overall, the offense of the Houston Texans didn’t show up. Furthermore, Trey McBride had his breakout game with a 10-95-1 stat line for 25.50 DraftKings points.

Quarterback – Bryce Young, $5,100, Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers found their first win last week against the Houston Texans. With that said, Bryce Young’s confidence has to be sky-high coming off the season’s first win of the year. In regards to the matchup that Young is in, this is a pass defense that he can take advantage of.

To take a peek into the Colt’s defense, in our Fantasy Football Consistency Score tool the Colts give up 19.03 fantasy points a game. Young hasn’t had a breakout game but the rookie is fully capable of exploiting this defense. The young quarterback is starting slow but this may be the game we see him look for the downfield passes.

Honorable Mentions: Jordan Love and Derek Carr

Running Back – Kareem Hunt, $5,500, Cleveland Browns

The longtime veteran is expected to be the lead running back against the Arizona Cardinals. Jerome Ford is dealing with an ankle injury despite playing last game. Kareem Hunt out-snapped Ford last game with 14 carries. With the ankle injury to Ford and the matchup that the running game is in, this is a recipe for Hunt to take advantage of.

Some might say that Hunt is washed but I think he still has the gas in him. In our Fantasy Football Consistency Score tool, the Arizona Cardinals are giving up the third most points to running backs a game at 27.45 fantasy points a game. In the past three games, Hunt has accrued over 10 DraftKings points.

Honorable Mentions: Brian Robinson Jr. and Chubba Hubbard

Wide Receiver – Demario Douglas, $4,000, New England Patriots

I hate taking a wide receiver on the New England Patriots because of how this offense has looked this season. The devastating injury to Kendrick Bourne is going to open up snaps for receivers. Demario Douglas is set to take on a large role in the offense now.

The young rookie has seen an increase in targets in the past two games. To take a look into the targets, he has seen 6 and 7 in the past two games. He is going to take on a large role as possibly the lead receiver on the team and the DraftKings price tag is too cheap for his role now.

Honorable Mentions: JuJu Smith Schuster and Brandin Cooks

Tight End – Luke Musgrave, $3,300, Green Bay Packers

I am going to continue to go to Luke Musgrave until the wheels fall off.  Injuries have failed us when playing him but this has to be a get right spot for him. A theme to this week is I am looking at the matchups that players can exploit this week.

To take a look at the matchup here the Green Bay Packers are playing the Los Angeles Rams. In our Fantasy Football Consistency Score tool, the Los Angeles Rams give up the 5th most points to Tight Ends coming in at 14.09. It is the time to shine for Musgrave and to find the end zone for the first time this season!

Honorable Mentions: Jake Ferguson and Trey McBride
