Waiver-Wire-Pickups-Tight-Ends-Week-10-2023

Welcome back to another edition of Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups. We’re heading into Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. Keep in mind that this week we have three high-powered offenses on their bye. In this article, we’re focusing on the top tight ends you should look at on the waiver wire or to spend your FAAB on. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will need to be on your bench as the Chiefs have their bye week. Additionally, Jalen Hurts and the talented Eagles offense will not be playing.

Surprisingly, the Houston Texans offense led by C.J. Stroud had a Sunday to remember. Throwing for 470 yards and five touchdowns. What a week for the Texans. He should be viewed not only as a QB1 going forward but the clear-cut candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Also, is it safe to say Taysom Hill is an elite tight end?

For your fantasy football teams, adding the right players off the waiver wire is absolutely crucial to your fantasy football success. Follow along with us all season long and we’ll help you make your way into the fantasy football playoffs.

With the above in mind, no matter our record, there are always areas to improve. Regardless of your situation, here are the top tight ends you should look to add for Week 10 based on CBS Fantasy Sports roster percentages. These players are listed in order of priority. Let’s get right into it with the top waiver wire pickups for your fantasy football teams as we head into Week 10!

For this waiver wire column, we are only looking at players rostered in less than 60% of leagues according to CBS Fantasy as of 11/7/23.

Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups

Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11% Rostered)

The shootout between the Texans may have helped Otton here, but it can’t be ignored. Over the last three weeks, Otton has been more involved in the offense as he hasn’t seen any less than six targets. Week 9 he led the team not only in catches (six), but targets (nine) too. He turned that into 70 yards and two touchdowns. Those who are losing Travis Kelce or looking to replace Dallas Goedert for the future should add and start Otton going forward. He’s worth up to 5% of your remaining FAAB.

Jonnu Smith, TE, Atlanta Falcons (32% Rostered)

With Drake London out Sunday, I thought it was going to be a Kyle Pitts day. But once again, it was his kryptonite Jonnu Smith who destroyed fantasy managers’ dreams. Being the TE2 on this offense has paid off well for Smith. Week 9 was no different as he caught five balls for 100 yards and a touchdown.

Mind you his touchdown catch was a 60-yard one. Needless to say, I hate it. However, just being a starting tight end is quite valuable. He’s worth 1-3% of your remaining FAAB.

Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers (35% Rostered)

Musgrave scored his first touchdown of the season catching three of four balls for 51 yards. He led the Packers in targets and yards. He’s a very athletic tight end and if he’s able to continue from this start, he could be at worst a high-end TE2. Ultimately, he is worth 1% of your remaining FAAB and certainly a top target as a waiver wire pickup.
