2024 NFL Draft Stock Risers - Post All-Star Games

The All-Star game circuit for the 2024 NFL Draft has wrapped up, with several players making noise and jumping up the draft rankings. The importance of putting on strong showings at these games has become more important over the years to show teams your abilities against the top talent in the country. Many scouts will come into the week with questions about a prospects game that they have to answer throughout practices and in the final game.

Keep in mind, the 2024 NFL Combine is coming up as well and player draft stock changes a lot there as well. Here are the NFL Draft prospects who answered several questions and boosted their 2024 draft stock.

2024 NFL Draft Risers

Quarterbacks

One of the most impressive weeks and biggest risers throughout the past week has been South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler. As someone with many question marks surrounding his game after coming into college with all the potential in the world, Rattler answered those questions with an astounding week of practice, ultimately earning the MVP in the Resse’s Senior Bowl game. Additionally, he showed what we thought he was going to be earlier in his college career. However, the obvious growth in his game has shown has him going from a late day-three pick to potentially a late day-two/early day-three quarterback.

Running Backs

After a big week at the Senior Bowl, Arizona RB Michael Wiley was voted the best running back on the American team by his linebacker teammates. At 5103 and 209 pounds, he measured in at an ideal size for an NFL running back and showed off his contact balance and low center of gravity throughout the week of practice. Coming into the week as a late day-three/UDFA prospect, Wiley gained a boost in draft stock, jumping from an unranked player in our big board to a top 250 player.

Personally, I wasn’t completely sold on this player until this week, when he answered every question I had about him. USC RB MarShawn Lloyd had one of the biggest weeks at the Senior Bowl that a running back prospect could have. He earned the title of the best running back on the National team after his performance, showing off his receiving ability and vision in the trenches. Lloyd significantly moved up the rankings, going from a late day-three pick to being considered a potential day-two option for teams looking for a back.

It was a good week for running backs at the Senior Bowl. South Dakota State RB Isaiah Davis looked the part of a longstanding NFL running back from the time he arrived to the final play. He came in with strong measurables, standing 6000 and 220 pounds, and moved well for a back with that size. Davis was smooth with his cuts and showed shiftiness in the open field, finding the open running lanes and exploding through them. In a class that could be deeper at running back, he’ll be a prospect that will get a good look from many teams in the middle of the NFL Draft.

Wide Receivers

A couple of wide receiver prospects who had many questions to answer certainly came ready to play at the Senior Bowl. Tulane WR Jha’Quan Jackson was one of them and was one of the most consistent receivers throughout the week. He won’t impress you with his dominating height, standing at 5090, but his frame has a ton of strength behind it, and he showed off his stellar hands throughout the process. Jackson was catching just about everything that was thrown his way and was beating defenders deep. There’s a role for him in the NFL, and now it’s just a question of how high he could go in the NFL Draft.

Another receiver who took a massive jump in the rankings, 18 spots to be exact, was Georgia WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint. He showed how much he could do at different spots on the line of scrimmage and proved to be consistent no matter where he’s at. Rosemy-Jacksaint was beating defenders over the top, creating a lot of separation with his quick-twitch abilities and strong route-running ability. His size was an added plus, measuring in at 6010 and 205 pounds, with 978 hands, 3318 arm length, and a 7828 wingspan. Rosemy-Jacksaint made himself some money with his showing last week.

Defensive Linemen

A couple of players on the defensive line really stood out throughout practices, one of whom was Florida State DT Braden Fiske. Showing off his blend of speed and power, Fiske won from many different spots on the defensive line, beating some of the most talented blockers in the country. After consistently winning reps at practice, he went into the game and dominated the backfield, making stops in the running game and coming up with a sack on Joe Milton. After this week, Fiske has cemented himself as a top 10 defensive lineman in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Looking at a prospect from the Shrine Bowl, Iowa DL Logan Lee was someone who stood out on the defensive side of the ball. After showing off his versatility with his speed and power combination, Lee earned himself All-West honors at the Shrine Bowl and firmly put his name on Scouts’ and GMs’ draft boards. On our 2024 NFL Draft Big Board, Lee went from being graded as an undrafted prospect to a mid-day-three selection.

EDGE Rushers

Two players stood out from both All-Star games last week, the first of which was Charlotte EDGE rusher Eyabi Okie at the Shrine Bowl. Charlotte has produced an outstanding pass rusher in Alex Highsmith, and Okie could be the next in line to make an impact at the NFL level. His explosive first step and pure power were on full display as he beat some of the most talented offensive line prospects throughout the week.

Moreover, Texas Tech defensive end Myles Cole won the week with impressive measurables. He stands 6057 and weighs 207 pounds, has 978 hands, 3638 arms, and a dominating 8700 wingspan. Cole had flashes of a potential star, showing he could win with speed and power while flashing solid flexibility and strong hand technique. He’s a ball of clay that defensive coordinators will love the chance to get and mold from his stature and potential.

Linebackers

As a late addition to the Senior Bowl roster, California’s Jackson Sirmon had a monster week against the country’s most talented players. He was tremendous in coverage, locking down running backs out of the backfield, and found multiple interceptions throughout the week of practice. Sirmon was all around the ball consistently, making the spotlight easy to find him. Coming into the week as an unranked prospect on our big board, Sirmon was easily the biggest riser at the linebacker position. However, now he’s sitting just outside the top 10 in linebacker rankings. 

A small school prospect, Houston Christian’s Jalyx Hunt, made some noise last week at the Senior Bowl, showing he can hang with some of the best in the country. Projecting as a 3-4 outside linebacker at the next level, Hunt received plenty of work in pass-rushing drills and one-on-ones with offensive linemen, winning with his impressive speed and even flashing his strength. This is the first time Houston Christian had a player at the Senior Bowl, and Hunt looks to continue to show he’s one of the most underrated prospects in the NFL Draft.

Defensive Backs

While the measurements weren’t exactly off the charts at the Hula Bowl for Fresno State CB Carlton Johnson, he got the call-up to the Senior Bowl and put his skillset on full display in front of NFL Scouts. He was locking down any receiver he was matched against, running with the speed of Tez Walker and Jamari Thrash, who had impressive weeks of their own. Johnson even came up with interceptions throughout practice, showing that he has natural hands and good ball skills.

One of the most impressive players from the Senior Bowl was Louisville CB Jarvis Brownlee Jr. His performance boosted him 11 spots in the cornerback rankings, and for good reason. Brownlee essentially ran routes for receivers while he was in coverage and consistently made plays on the ball. Additionally, he even had an interception in the game after he read exactly what Tez Walker was running. Overall, Brownlee has made his way into the early day-two conversation with what he showed against some of the best receivers in this class.
