2024 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 with Trades: Post-NFL Combine Risers

2024 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 with Trades: Post-NFL Combine Risers

Now that the 2024 NFL Draft All-Star games and the NFL Combine are over, the only thing left to finalize the evaluation process is the Pro Days. After that, we await the countdown to the NFL Draft. With pre-draft events, several questions get answered, rumors swirl around many players, and sorting through who is worthy of first-round picks starts to get even more mirky. Let’s dive into who could go in the first round as we predict potential trades that could happen on day one of the highly anticipated 2024 NFL Draft.

2024 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 with Trades

As the NFL Draft approaches, the discussions around potential landing spots for quarterbacks intensify, with several trades potentially reshaping the top ten. One team that piques interest is the Minnesota Vikings, who seem to have a strong liking for UNC QB Drake Maye. The ties between Maye and the team, including new QB Coach Josh McCown, who coached him in high school, add to the intrigue. Rumors suggest that if Jaden Daniels isn’t available at three for the Patriots, they might consider trading back in the 2024 NFL Draft. Could the Vikings be the team to make a move and secure Maye?

With the Chicago Bears likely taking a quarterback and moving on from Justin Fields, several teams will be pursuing him to lead their franchise. He’s been tied to the Falcons and Raiders, but is he worth a first-round pick? Likely not, but with the right package, the Bears could find their way back into the first round and build around their new franchise quarterback.

Both sides of the trenches are very top-heavy with talent, and with several teams needing to upgrade their lines, we will likely see several of them come off the board early in the NFL Draft. The edge class has three, maybe four, premiere talents, leaving many teams needing a pass rusher itching to trade up for one of them.

On the other side of the trenches, the tackles in this class have three top players before dropping to the next tier, and once you get past that tier, it gets to be a bit of a question if they’ll make an early impact in their career. Several teams need offensive line help, and with the talent of this tackle class, we could see plenty of movement in the middle of the first round.

QB Caleb Williams, USC
Bears trade No.1 | Commanders trade No.2, No.36, 2025 3rd: Trading from two to one may not seem necessary, but if Washington believes Chicago will select their guy, it's not out of the question. Bringing Williams back to DC could be his best bet if they can build around their franchise guy.

Chicago Bears
Demo Image
QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
If the Bears are comfortable getting either Williams or Daniels, trading out of one and moving on from Justin Fields would be ideal for the franchise. If the rumors of Williams not wanting to be in Chicago, trading out of the one spot might get tricky.

QB Drake Maye, North Carolina
Patriots trade No.3 | Vikings trade No.11, No.42, 2025 1st: With the rumors that the Patriots want to move out of three with Daniels gone, this gives a team like the Vikings a chance to get their guy. New QB Coach Josh McCown formerly coached Maye in high school, and there are rumors that they're very interested in him.

Arizona Cardinals
Demo Image
WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
With the best player in the draft available for the Cardinals, getting their WR1 to help Kyler Murray, their franchise quarterback, should be their highest priority.
1 | 5 | 5
Demo Image
Los Angeles Chargers
Demo Image
TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
The positional value will come into question for the Chargers at the five-spot. They could look at the offensive line, but they have a solid left tackle. With the top two tackles on the left side, they could look to select Bowers early and improve their passing attack.
1 | 6 | 6
Demo Image
New York Giants
Demo Image
WR Rome Odunze, Washington
With the top three quarterbacks off the board and the Giants tied to Daniel Jones, getting someone who can help the passing game will be vital to their chances of returning to the playoffs and building around who they currently have under center.
1 | 7 | 7
Demo Image
Tennessee Titans
Demo Image
OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame
With one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL last year, grabbing the best available offensive lineman should be a no-brainer for the Titans. With his size and athleticism in the trenches, Alt is likely going to be ranked as the top OT when the final rankings are published.
1 | 8 | 8
Demo Image
Atlanta Falcons
Demo Image
QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
If the Falcons don't land Fields or Cousins in the offseason, quarterback should become their highest priority. Even with the top three guys off the board, McCarthy has an outside chance of being a mid-to-high-level starter in the NFL with the right weapons, which the Falcons have.
1 | 9 | 9
Demo Image
Chicago Bears
Demo Image
WR Malik Nabers, LSU
Now that the Bears have drafted their new franchise quarterback, it would be ideal to get him a weapon to help him develop early in his rookie year, and what better option than his former teammate at LSU?
1 | 10 | 10
Demo Image
New York Jets
Demo Image
OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Penn State
With the run on offensive linemen likely to come, the Jets can't afford to wait until later in the draft to address their need here. Fashanu was outstanding in pass protection last season and showed flashes of greatness throughout his college career.
1 | 11 | 11
Demo Image
New England Patriots (via MIN)
Demo Image
OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State
With Daniels being selected with the second pick and trading back with the Vikings, the Patriots can focus on a few areas—pass catchers and offensive line. With the depth of wide receivers, they could look at their line and address offensive weapons later.
1 | 12 | 12
Demo Image
Denver Broncos
Demo Image
EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
After a season with one of the worst defensive lines in the NFL, the Broncos are in a great spot to take their favorite pass rusher. With Turner being ranked as the top guy on our big board, grabbing him would immediately boost their pass rush.
1 | 13 | 13
Demo Image
Chicago Bears (via LV)
Demo Image
EDGE Jared Verse, Florida State
Raiders trade No.13, Hunter Renfrow | Bears trade Justin Fields, No.75, 2025 2nd: The Bears get back into the first round by trading Fields to the Raiders. It may be a lot to ask to get a first round pick, but this trade would give value to both teams, giving the Bears another weapon for Daniels and letting the Raiders work with Fields.
1 | 14 | 14
Demo Image
New Orleans Saints
Demo Image
OT Amarius Mims, Georgia
The Saints have struggled to find offensive linemen in the draft, so why not take another swing? Mims has some development left, but it would be a massive upgrade if he becomes what he's projected to be.
1 | 15 | 15
Demo Image
Indianapolis Colts
Demo Image
CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
Several corners could hear their names called on day one of the NFL Draft, with Mitchell leading the group after an outstanding season, Senior Bowl, and Combine. He's well-rounded and versatile, allowing the Colts to deploy him in any fashion immediately.
1 | 16 | 16
Demo Image
Seattle Seahawks
Demo Image
EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
Latu is arguably the most pure pass rusher in the class, and after clearing medicals at the Combine, he might go even higher than this pick. If he's here for the Seahawks, this should be an easy pick for them, giving them an upgrade on the defensive line right away.
1 | 17 | 17
Demo Image
Jacksonville Jaguars
Demo Image
CB Cooper DeJean, Iowa
After suffering a fractured fibula at the end of last season, DeJean couldn't do workouts at the Combine, leaving others to surpass him as the best defensive back in the NFL Draft. He's extremely athletic and would have tested off the charts, and with his versatility, he would be a massive upgrade for the Jaguars' secondary.
1 | 18 | 18
Demo Image
Cincinnati Bengals
Demo Image
OT Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma
With their franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, suffering injuries throughout his young career, upgrading their offensive line should be their top priority. Guyton's game is still green, but if he's developed properly, he could become one of the better tackles in the NFL.
1 | 19 | 19
Demo Image
Los Angeles Rams
Demo Image
CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
One of the corners who shot up the rankings towards the end of the process has been Arnold. He would be an upgrade for many teams looking for a well-versed pass defender. He can step in immediately and improve the Rams' secondary.
1 | 20 | 20
Demo Image
Pittsburgh Steelers
Demo Image
OT Troy Fautanu, Washington
After a solid season and a great showing throughout the pre-draft process, Fautanu has made his way into first-round consideration. With the Steelers in need of a versatile offensive lineman, this could be a home run pick for them.
1 | 21 | 21
Demo Image
Miami Dolphins
Demo Image
iOL Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
The Dolphins have several offensive weapons, including a franchise quarterback. Building their offensive line should be the main priority to help protect Tua Tagovailoa and open running lanes for their backs.
1 | 22 | 22
Demo Image
Philadelphia Eagles
Demo Image
CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson
We all know the Eagles like to defer selecting cornerbacks to after the first round, but with how poorly they played in the secondary this season, they can't afford to let a player like Wiggins get past them.
1 | 23 | 23
Demo Image
Houston Texans (via CLE)
Demo Image
WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
The Texans did a great job drafting talent last season, and getting another weapon for their franchise quarterback, CJ Stroud, will be vital to continuing their success. Thomas is a big-bodied, speedy wide receiver who can take this group of receivers to the next level.
1 | 24 | 24
Demo Image
Dallas Cowboys
Demo Image
iOL Graham Barton, Duke
The Cowboys have been known for one of the better offensive lines over the past few years, but they're not getting any younger and could be losing one of their top linemen. Barton provides versatility, being able to fill holes at either of the five positions on the line.
1 | 25 | 25
Demo Image
Green Bay Packers
Demo Image
OT JC Latham, Alabama
The Packers looked doomed from the start, but with the emergence of Jordan Love and him elevating the talent around him, they look like they're in a spot to compete for several years to come. Protecting him will be a major priority for the Packers in the Draft and free agency.
1 | 26 | 26
Demo Image
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Demo Image
EDGE Chop Robinson, Penn State
After they let Shaq Barrett walk, the Bucs are in major need of a pass rusher across from 2nd-year edge rusher YaYa Diaby. Robinson has the elite physical and athletic traits that make for top-tier pass rushers and he could develop into another star on the defensive line.
1 | 27 | 27
Demo Image
Arizona Cardinals (via HOU)
Demo Image
CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri
After grabbing a weapon for Murray earlier in this mock draft, focusing on the defense, particularly the secondary, should be a main focus for the Cardinals. Rakestraw became one of the top corners in the class after a lockdown season for the Tigers.
1 | 28 | 28
Demo Image
Buffalo Bills
Demo Image
iDL Darius Robinson, Missouri
The Bills need to find a versatile piece to add to the defensive line, and Robinson is exactly that. He has the size to kick inside but can also rush from the edge, giving the Bills several different ways to deploy him.
1 | 29 | 29
Demo Image
Detroit Lions
Demo Image
iDL Byron Murphy II, Texas
Murphy has the potential to go much higher in the draft, but with teams needing other pieces, he could fall to the Lions, who need another weapon on the defensive line. Adding Murphy inside would open up rush lanes for Aidan Hutchinson and create a more versatile defensive line.
1 | 30 | 30
Demo Image
Baltimore Ravens
Demo Image
WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas
After running a 4.34 40-yard dash at 205 pounds, Mitchell has likely run himself into the first round to a team that likes speedy receivers. If the Ravens don't attack the position in free agency, this would be a perfect landing spot for him and Lamar Jackson.
1 | 31 | 31
Demo Image
San Francisco 49ers
Demo Image
iDL Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois
Newton was widely considered the best defensive lineman in the class throughout the season. Still, with the emergence of other players, he could be available for a Niners team desperate to get back to the Super Bowl. Pairing him with the scary line they already have would ensure they are back in the big game soon.
1 | 32 | 32
Demo Image
Kansas City Chiefs
Demo Image
WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
The Chiefs want speed at receiver; why would they draft a player who ran a 4.61? Because Coleman's play speed is much faster than what he showed at the Combine. He's a big-bodied receiver who would pair perfectly with Rashee Rice, giving Patrick Mahomes a potential elite duo.
