MLB Best Bets Today – April 24th
Looking back, we went 0-6 yesterday, coming up short on the Cardinal’s total runs over that would have cashed two different parlays. However, we have been on a heater the last two weeks combining for 32-25 cashing on multiple parlays, we were due for a bad day. Diamondbacks @ Cardinals – NRFI (-125 DraftKings)
This game was a one-sided slugfest last night. The Arizona Diamondbacks shelled the Cardinals putting 14 runs on the board. Today the game is at 1:15 EST and I like taking no run first inning plays for early games. That game also ended late last night so I think the bats come out cold. Overall, we have two decent pitchers on the mound, Kyle Gibson and Jordan Montgomery. Let’s take this for the first MLB best bet of the day.
Nick Lodolo Over 16.5 Outs (-130 DraftKings)
Lodolo has gotten off to a great start since returning from injury. This Phillies team has had trouble with him in the past. Turner, Castellanos, Realmuto, Shwarber, and Stott all have a .200 or worse batting average in their careers against Lodolo. Let’s take this with our second MLB Best Bet.
Nick Lodolo Over 16.5 Outs X Diamondbacks @ Cardinals – NRFI (+218 Parlay)
No big write-up for this. It’s just our two above plays combined on a small parlay. I would suggest .7 units on this one. Let’s take this with our third MLB Best Bet.
Joe Ryan Over 18.5 Outs (+140 DraftKings)
The White Sox have the lowest On Base Percentage in baseball sitting at .266 for the year. Additionally, Joe Ryan has not gone over this number yet this season but has come one out shy in 2 of his last 3 starts. I think today he gets over this number against a putrid White Sox lineup. All things considered, I’m throwing .7 units on this as well for my final MLB best bet of the day.
