Buys

DJ Moore – Carolina Panthers

Moore is a wide receiver that I am trying to get on all of my teams. He just produces year after year no matter how horrifying his quarterback play has been. He is coming off of three straight 1,100+ yard seasons with two of them being for 85 or more receptions. We are talking about a wide receiver who has averaged 7.8 targets per game along with 68.5 yards per game and has never had the pleasure of consistent quarterback play. While we still may not see that this season, that could change at any point the Panthers want to get serious about winning.

The thing holding Moore back from elite status is his lack of touchdown production, with only four in each of his previous three seasons. With some positive touchdown regression and improved quarterback play, give me a highly productive 25-year-old wide receiver ready to ascend to elite status. – Tyler Posey

Michael Pittman – Indianapolis Colts

I loved Pittman as a breakout candidate last year. Even with Carson Wentz under center, did just that. Pittman finished last season with 88 catches for 1,082 yards and six touchdowns on 129 targets. Now he gets an upgrade at quarterback with Matt Ryan. Pittman is a big wide receiver who is the unquestioned WR1 on his team and will be just 25 years old at the start of the season.

Pittman is coming off last season finishing as the WR17, which is his floor. The upgrade he gets in Ryan is huge and could vault him to a WR1 fantasy finish. Ryan has held up plenty of top wide receivers in his career and is more than capable of doing it again. I love the potential of this combo, so I love going out and acquiring Pittman. – Tyler Posey

Marvin Jones – Jacksonville Jaguars

There’s been a lot of movement with the Jaguars this off-season. D.J. Chark went to Detroit, Christian Kirk came to town and there’s no telling when James Robinson will return. With all the folks coming and going, the one constant and proven over the years is Jones. Trevor Lawrence is familiar with him as Jones was on the field for over 90.4% of the offensive snaps for Jacksonville in 2021. Familiarity is king when it comes to the relationship between and quarterback and his receivers. Another player in ‘advanced’ NFL age, Jones can be acquired for little more than a ham sandwich if you’re looking for an extra piece for your title run. – Benjamin Ditlevson

Marquise Brown – Arizona Cardinals

Brown goes to a more pass-friendly offense and reunites with his former college quarterback, Kyler Murray. Many dynasty managers have him ranked at WR30 or lower. I see him as a top 20 wide receiver in Arizona with a potential future star quarterback in Murray. We all have seen the splits for Murray in the first half of the season compared to the second. Brown could start off on fire and see a spike in value. Not to mention, DeAndre Hopkins is suspended for six games this season and is on the wrong side of 30 years old. – Steven Ransbottom

Gabriel Davis – Buffalo Bills

The Davis breakout has already begun and I know, everyone is too high on him. He had eight receptions for 201 yards and four touchdowns against the Chiefs in one of the best playoff games of all time. The 6’2 210-pound wide receiver has 13 regular-season touchdowns. Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders are gone and replaced with Jamison Crowder and rookie draft pick Khalil Shakir.

The third-year wide receiver will be starting full-time for the first time in his career this year. Being part of a pass-heavy offense led by elite quarterback Josh Allen means great things for Davis and his dynasty value. Yes, the hype is getting a bit much, but there’s a good reason for it. I’m predicting over 1,000 yards receiving and double-digit touchdowns for Davis. Go out and draft him or trade for him. – Steve Stoughton

Sells

AJ Brown – Philadelphia Eagles

Brown is one of the most electric wide receivers in the NFL today. The speed he can achieve at his 226-pound frame is astonishing as he can shed tacklers like a rabbit sheds excess fur in the spring. Trust me, I would know. As much promise as we want to see in Jalen Hurts as a quarterback, it’s still a downgrade as a passer from Ryan Tannehill.

Brown joins a team that focuses on the ground game far before the air attack. That, in itself, is a lateral move but Brown dazzled the opposition and fellow wideouts alongside the incomparable talents of Derrick Henry and his hard-nosed running drive. Philadelphia doesn’t have a running back like that. The hype on Brown is sky-high and you should be looking to capitalize on that fire now. – Benjamin Ditlevson

DeAndre Hopkins – Arizona Cardinals

It’s time to sell Hopkins in your dynasty leagues. Hopkins is suspended for the first six games of the season for a PED violation. He’s entering his age 30 season which is usually a good time to sell wide receivers in dynasty leagues. Arizona brought in Brown from Baltimore on NFL Draft night so he has more competition for targets, plus Murray and Brown have a very solid history together.

Hopkins played in 10 games last season and had 42 receptions. Either try and trade him in the offseason or wait until he returns from suspension to trade him. If you’re not competing to win now, it’s a good time to get out from Hopkins. – Steve Stoughton

Cooper Kupp – Los Angeles Rams

I know. How can you possibly consider selling Kupp after the season he just had? He’ll be 30 years old during this 2022 season and only has two 1,000-yard seasons in five years. With the addition of Allen Robinson and a healthy returning Cam Akers, Kupp will see fewer targets this year. It’s inevitable. If you are not going all in to win now you should sell while you can get a probably get a king’s ransom for him. Kupp’s value will never be higher than it is now as he’s being valued just after the young elite wide receivers like Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. It’s definitely something worth considering. – Steven Ransbottom
