Per Ian Rapoport, speedster wide receiver Marquise Brown signed a one-year contract worth up to $11M with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Marquise Brown Fantasy Football Outlook (2024)

Recently, Brown struck a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Although he wasn’t one of the first signed, he joins a needy wide receiver room. Overall, a playmaker like Brown should give this offense the added boost it needs. To say the least, Patrick Mahomes has got to be smiling.

Brown is coming off of two underwhelming seasons with the Arizona Cardinals averaging 9.12 1/2-PPR points for fantasy football. After showing flashes in Baltimore, his stats never transitioned. Keep in mind though, Kyler Murray has only played 19 games over that span due to an ACL tear. Not to mention, Brown suffered a heel injury three games into Murray’s return this past season.

Now Brown joins a duo of Travis Kelce and second-year receiver Rashee Rice. Ultimately Brown landed in the best spot as I projected him to land with the Chiefs this offseason. Overall, I see Brown being drafted as a WR3 in all leagues. In your 2024 fantasy football drafts, I would be comfortable taking him anywhere in round seven. In your dynasty fantasy football leagues, this certainly gives Brown a nice bump in value for the foreseeable future.

Brown has played with some very talented quarterbacks in Lamar Jackson and Murray. Now, he gets the best passer in his career in Mahomes. Although the deep game didn’t work for Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mahomes, and Brown should be connecting deep.

As of right now, I don’t see this addition affecting Kelce as much as it does Rice. Prior to the addition, Rice was a borderline WR1. Now I view him as a mid-WR2 with upside. Needless to say, this offense will extremely talented and fun to watch moving forward.

Finally, Mahomes who is coming off his worst fantasy season should be viewed as no worse than the overall QB3 in rankings. Let’s not forget in his down season, the Chiefs led the league in dropped passes. And let’s not forget he just won a Super Bowl with this core.
