Today’s MLB Best Bets and Player Prop Bets
San Diego Padres @ Milwaukee Brewers – Over 8.5 Total Runs (-107 DraftKings)
Thankfully, we won the bet we placed on the over in yesterday’s game between these two teams. The Padres rank first in runs scored this season, while the Brewers are fourth. So far, both teams have consistently hit their respective overs this year, and this trend has been profitable for us. Given this success, we plan to continue following this trend. All in all, we will take this Over for the first MLB Best Bet of the Day.
Pittsburgh Pirates @ New York Mets – Pirates Moneyline (+102 BetRivers)
Jared Jones and Jose Quintana are the starting pitchers for this game. Jones, a rookie, has performed well since the start of the season. On the other hand, Quintana is an older player who is average at best. In this matchup, I am going to side with the better pitcher and the better team, who also happens to be the underdog here at plus money. This is the play for the 2nd MLB Best Bet.
Hunter Greene Under 8.5 Strikeouts (-150 FanDuel)
Our only player prop bet for today features Hunter Greene of the Cincinnati Reds. Tonight, the Reds go on the road to face off against the 7-10 Seattle Mariners. Greene is 0-1 this year when he’s the starting pitcher and has a 4.86 ERA on the season. Additionally, he has 22 total strikeouts this year in three games played. Today, we’ll be taking the Under for Greene’s strikeouts as the Reds are on the road in Seattle.
Royals and Dodgers Moneyline Parlay – (+108 Caesars)
I’m betting on two heavy favorite teams with plus money odds. As we saw, the Dodgers lost to the Nationals last night. However, I just don’t see them losing two nights in a row. Not to mention, the Royals are facing the worst team in MLB. This is my final bet for today’s MLB Best Bet of the Day series.
