We kick off this week with a fresh start at 0-0. Here are my MLB Best Bets for today!

MLB Best Bets of the Day – 4/15/2024

Minnesota Twins @ Baltimore Orioles – Over 8.5 Total Runs (-122 FanDuel)

The two starting pitchers in this one are Louie Varland for the Twins and Cole Irvin for the Orioles. Varland is sporting a 9.00 ERA while Irvin has an 8.10 ERA. These are not very good pitchers on the mound. Overall, give me the over at 8.5 runs for the first MLB Best Bet.

San Diego Padres @ Milwaukee Brewers – Over 8.5 Total Runs (+100 FanDuel)

All season long it seems that any game the Brewers are a part of the over seems to hit or come pretty dang close. Both teams are in the top 4 in the MLB for runs scored this season. I don’t believe this trend will end today. This game will be played in a dome so the weather should not affect anything. I like this play as my second MLB Best Bet of the day.

Milwaukee Brewers – First 5 Innings Spread -0.5 (+135 DraftKings)

The Padres played the night game on Sunday. They had to jump on a plane for a 7:40 pm Eastern Time start. I think they come out flat in this one even though they have the better pitcher on the mound. All in all, give me the Brewers -0.5 in the first 5 innings at plus money as my 3rd MLB Best Bet of the day.

Atlanta Braves @ Houston Astros – Money Line Early Win Token (-115 DraftKings)

I expect a high-scoring game and would choose the road team with the Early Win Token on DraftKings. As you can see, the Braves are the road team and will bat first. Even if they don’t win, the game is likely to be high-scoring, giving them a chance to go up by two points. This will be the final bet for today’s MLB Best Bet.
