Waiver-Wire-Pickups-Running-Backs-Week-10-2023

Welcome back to another edition of Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups. We’re heading into Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. Keep in mind that this week we have three high-powered offenses on their bye. In this article, we’re focusing on the top running backs you should look at on the waiver wire or to spend your FAAB on. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will need to be on your bench as the Chiefs have their bye week. Additionally, Jalen Hurts and the talented Eagles offense will not be playing.

Finally, we have the fantastic wide receiver duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on their bye as the Miami Dolphins’ bye week is in Week 10 as well. Oh yeah, and the Rams too.

Thursday night football kicked off the week with the Titans taking on the Steelers. We were all excited about the Week 8 performance by Will Levis, but he came back down to earth. How about Diontae Johnson FINALLY scoring a touchdown? It was 688 days and a Ben Roethlisberger ago since his last one!

Kicking off our Sunday was a morning game in Germany between Patrick Mahomes and Tua Tagovailoa. What we thought was a good team in the Miami Dolphins may not be true to fruition as they are still yet to beat a team over .500. On the other hand, that Chiefs defense is nothing to mess with. They’re elite.

Surprisingly, the Houston Texans offense led by C.J. Stroud had a Sunday to remember. Throwing for 470 yards and five touchdowns. What a week for the Texans. He should be viewed not only as a QB1 going forward but the clear-cut candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Also, is it safe to say Taysom Hill is an elite tight end?

Finally, how about that Eagles and Cowboys game? While it was a very entertaining one, Mike McCarthy struggled to pull this one out. He looks like the reason they won’t make a push for the Super Bowl.

For your fantasy football teams, adding the right players off the waiver wire is absolutely crucial to your fantasy football success. Follow along with us all season long and we’ll help you make your way into the fantasy football playoffs.

With the above in mind, no matter our record, there are always areas to improve. Regardless of your situation, here are the top quarterbacks you should look to add for Week 10 based on CBS Fantasy Sports roster percentages. These running backs are listed in order of priority. Let’s get right into it with the top waiver wire pickups for your fantasy football teams as we head into Week 10!

For this waiver wire column, we are only looking at players rostered in less than 60% of leagues according to CBS Fantasy as of 11/7/23.

Running Back Waiver Wire Pickups

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens (7% Rostered)

For many weeks I was putting Mitchell as a stash player. Finally, he got an opportunity as he rushed nine times for 138 yards and a touchdown. Although 100 of his rushing yards came on two carries (40 and 60), the 4.37 speed showed Sunday afternoon. He could be in a three-way rotation with Gus Edwards and Justice Hill. He’s worth a bench spot for up to 3% of your remaining FAAB.

Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders (39% Rostered)

Gibson has been a bit disappointing this year. However, he has been doing enough over his last two games with five receptions in both contests. Additionally, he had six carries for 34 yards, which was his most since Week 4. Running backs that have a pulse are worth something and he’s one of them. In the end, he’s worth around 1% of your remaining FAAB.

See if available: Tyler Allgeier (73%) Arthur Smith must hate Bijan Robinson. It doesn’t make sense but Allgeier has a flex upside going forward. Devin Singletary (65%) Gross, I get it. However, it’s possible he could become the lead back here. Or at least in a decent share with Dameon Pierce.
