Waiver Wire Pickups, Quarterbacks – Week 10 (2023)

Waiver-Wire-Pickups-Quarterbacks-Week-10-2023

Welcome back to another edition of Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups. We’re heading into Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. Keep in mind that this week we have three high-powered offenses on their bye. In this article, we’re focusing on the top quarterbacks you should look at on the waiver wire or to spend your FAAB on. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will need to be on your bench as the Chiefs have their bye week. Additionally, Jalen Hurts and the talented Eagles offense will not be playing.

Finally, we have the fantastic wide receiver duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on their bye as the Miami Dolphins’ bye week is in Week 10 as well. Oh yeah, and the Rams too.

Thursday night football kicked off the week with the Titans taking on the Steelers. We were all excited about the Week 8 performance by Will Levis, but he came back down to earth. How about Diontae Johnson FINALLY scoring a touchdown? It was 688 days and a Ben Roethlisberger ago since his last one!

Kicking off our Sunday was a morning game in Germany between Patrick Mahomes and Tua Tagovailoa. What we thought was a good team in the Miami Dolphins may not be true to fruition as they are still yet to beat a team over .500. On the other hand, that Chiefs defense is nothing to mess with. They’re elite.

Surprisingly, the Houston Texans offense led by C.J. Stroud had a Sunday to remember. Throwing for 470 yards and five touchdowns. What a week for the Texans. He should be viewed not only as a QB1 going forward but the clear-cut candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Also, is it safe to say Taysom Hill is an elite tight end?

Finally, how about that Eagles and Cowboys game? While it was a very entertaining one, Mike McCarthy struggled to pull this one out. He looks like the reason they won’t make a push for the Super Bowl.

For your fantasy football teams, adding the right players off the waiver wire is absolutely crucial to your fantasy football success. Follow along with us all season long and we’ll help you make your way into the fantasy football playoffs.

With the above in mind, no matter our record, there are always areas to improve. Regardless of your situation, here are the top quarterbacks you should look to add for Week 10 based on CBS Fantasy Sports roster percentages. These players are listed in order of priority. Let’s get right into it with the top waiver wire pickups for your fantasy football teams as we head into Week 10!

For this waiver wire column, we are only looking at players rostered in less than 60% of leagues according to CBS Fantasy as of 11/7/23.

Quarterback Waiver Wire Pickups

Gardner Minshew, QB, Indianapolis Colts (51% Rostered)

Minshew wasn’t asked to do much against the Carolina Panthers. He finished 17 of 26 for 127 yards and a touchdown. Thanks to the Colts’ defense intercepting Bryce Young three times, taking two of them to the house. Now, Minshew gets the Patriots this week who have given up the fourth more points to quarterbacks over the last three weeks, per FFToday. He’s worth 5-10% of your remaining FAAB.

Will Levis, QB, Tennessee Titans (59% Rostered)

Levis exploded onto the scene against Atlanta for four touchdowns to fall flat on his face Thursday night against the Steelers. Although many chalked him down as a bust, I too wasn’t comfortable starting him last week. However, it paid off, and now he gets the Buccaneers in Week 10. All in all, he’s worth up to 5% of your remaining FAAB.

Taylor Heinicke, QB, Atlanta Falcons (24% Rostered)

Heinicke made his first start and performed well enough. He completed 21 of 38 passes for 268 yards along with a touchdown and interception. Additionally, he looked good enough to get the start in Week 10 against the Cardinals who’ve given up the 8th-most points to quarterbacks for the season. Overall, he’s worth 1% of your remaining FAAB.

Joshua Dobbs, QB, Minnesota Vikings (30% Rostered)

For the 1% who started Dobbs, congratulations as he finished as the QB4 in Week 9. Dobbs was forced into the lineup with Jaren Hall going out with a concussion. Additionally, it’s more than likely Dobbs is the starter going forward. In Week 10, he gets the New Orleans Saints. In this matchup, he could potentially struggle. However, he should be viewed as a better add in 2QB or Superflex leagues. Ultimately, he’s worth about 1% of your remaining FAAB.

See if Available: Russell Wilson (67%) Wilson was dropped due to the bye week. He’s my top add for quarterbacks especially if you have Mahomes or Hurts on bye. He gets the Bills this week who allowed Joe Burrow to throw for 348 yards and two touchdowns.
