We’re here to help you get a head start on who these rookies are and which ones to target in your upcoming dynasty fantasy football rookie drafts.

Rookie ADP for Dynasty Fantasy Football – Round 1
1.02 Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State
1.04 Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
1.06 Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
1.07 Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
1.09 Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
1.10 J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
1.11 Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
1.12 Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
In essence, seeing quarterbacks go first makes sense. Additionally, here we see three quarterbacks selected within the first four picks. Furthermore, Caleb Williams looks to be a can’t-miss prospect; meanwhile, Marvin Harrison Jr. is projected to be the next-best wide receiver since Calvin Johnson.
First of all, who should be the QB2 of this class is a different story. Additionally, Jayden Daniels has the Konami code aspect to his game. However, don’t sleep on Drake Maye as he also has that additional rushing upside. That being said, he is no Daniels. Maye didn’t have a season over 700 yards, while Daniels was over 700 the last three years. Furthermore, Daniels is 23 while Maye is 21.
Additionally, J.J. McCarthy continues to climb up NFL draft boards while Bo Nix is tumbling. In contrast, many see McCarthy as a first-round pick and a long-time signal caller. On the other hand, others see him as a mid-round pick and a backup. Personally, I’m on the latter with this one. Furthermore, as for Nix, his bad Senior Bowl performance showed him to be more of a system quarterback.
First and foremost, Rome Odunze and Brian Thomas are neck and neck here as prospects. In addition, from pass-happy offenses, in fact, Odunze could be the best wide receiver at this point. Furthermore, to point out, Thomas quietly led the nation with 17 touchdowns. Let that settle in.
Round 2
2.02 Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
2.03 Jonathan Brooks, RB, Texas
2.04 Trey Benson, RB, Florida State
2.05 Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin
2.06 Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington
2.07 Blake Corum, RB, Michigan
2.08 Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
2.09 Ja’ Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas
2.11 Devontez Walker, WR, North Carolina
2.12 Xavier Leggette, WR, South Carolina
First of all, seeing four Texas Longhorns drafted in the second round is crazy. Secondly, seeing three of them go one, two, three is just as crazy. Additionally, Xavier Worthy has track speed we all love. Furthermore, if he gets past you, good luck catching him. Moreover, Adonai Mitchell’s long, lengthy frame (6’4”; 196 pounds) has the speed too, not to mention a wide catch radius.
As for Jonathan Brooks, a promising RB1 season was cut short when he tore his ACL. However, Ja’Tavion Sanders is just a freak on the field. In addition, all four of these Longhorns should all be drafted in the NFL Draft no later than day 2.
Speaking of Jonathan Brooks, he was the first running back selected on average. Additionally, he was followed by Trey Benson, Braelon Allen, Blake Corum, and Bucky Irving. Furthermore, all these running backs have their strengths and weaknesses. On the other hand, what player doesn’t? Nevertheless, these players are ranked so tightly together that it’s hard to say who is the RB1.
Finally, we can’t forget the only quarterback drafted in this round in Michael Penix Jr. who just led the nation in passing yards. Additionally, his vision, escape ability, and being able to throw while on the run is amazing. Moreover, he’s a warrior who played with injured ribs against Michigan. Consequently, that game alone is not one I like to judge him on, but the game against Texas is a better one to view.
Round 3
3.01 Ja’Lynn Polk, WR, Washington
3.02 Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky
3.03 Audric Estime, RB, Notre Dame
3.04 Will Shipley, RB, Clemson
3.06 Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
3.07 Jalen McMillan, WR, Washington
3.09 Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida
3.10 Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee
3.11 Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina
3.12 Jermaine Burton, WR, Alabama
Once the third round kicks off, it starts getting interesting. Additionally, as we look at the list, it is dominated by wide receivers. Furthermore, these wide receivers are under the radar and a group I am looking forward to drafting. As of right now, Malachi Corley is known as the YAC (yards after catch) King where 73% of his total receiving yards were after the catch since 2022. Additionally, he’s best comparable to Deebo Samuel.
Additionally, Audric Estime is a fluid running back who runs with power. Not only that, but his size and receiving capabilities make him a viable three-down back at the next level. Moreover, his yards after contact, vision, and next-level speed will have many NFL teams falling in love with him. In conclusion, my guess as of this writing is that this will be the lowest, we will see him.
Speaking of rising, Spencer Rattler deserves more respect. Additionally, we are a couple of years removed when we considered Rattler as the top pick of the 2024 draft. In addition, after a stellar year and a great Senior Bowl, he’s currently at the end of the third. Furthermore, recently, he has been moving up in rookie mocks. B for now, this should be the lowest we see him.
Finally, Ladd McConkey needs to be taken more seriously. In addition, just like Rattler, McConkey too had a stellar Senior Bowl performance and is projected to be a day 2 pick. Not to mention, an early one at that. Furthermore, he will look to be a quarterback’s safety blanket at the next level.
Round 4
4.02 Joe Milton, QB, Tennessee
4.03 Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida State
4.04 Jacob Cowing, WR, Arizona
4.05 Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State
4.06 Jamari Thrash, WR, Georgia State
4.07 Michael Pratt, QB, Tulane
4.08 Malik Washington, WR, Virginia
4.09 Cade Stover, TE, Ohio State
4.11 Theo Johnson, TE, Penn State
4.12 Troy Horton, WR, Colorado State
Additionally, it’s important to consider that scouts and coaches may still see potential in Joe Milton‘s skill set. However, ultimately, his draft stock may be impacted by these concerns. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how his career unfolds in the NFL.
However, we’ve seen players drafted this late get a couple of spot starts when needed. Additionally, players like Jordan Travis coming back from injury will be interesting. Rumor has it that he should be cleared in May and ready to go come training camp. Furthermore, he’s a late-round pick I like here.
At the same time, the same can be said for Michael Pratt. While he’s been meeting with quite a few teams at the combine, suddenly now he’s on the radar. This quarterback class is looking deep. However, it’s still top-heavy. Additionally, it seems that there are many options for teams to consider. On the other hand, the top prospects are still dominating the conversation.
Brenden Rice, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, along with Johnny Wilson and Malik Washington are all rising. Notably, they have had solid NFL Combine performances. Additionally, if you need wide receivers this year in your upcoming rookie drafts, you’re going to love this class. Needless to say, this wide receiver class is deep.
These players are not guaranteed to be drafted here. From what we know and have studied, this is how many mock drafters view these players. Finally, some were boosted from the Senior Bowl, while others were seen on a National Champion level.
